Rudy Giuliani has already announced that hes considering a run for president in 2012, but, as he tells Piers Morgan in Mondays episode of Piers Morgan Tonight, hell be much more likely to run if Sarah Palin decides to as well.
Giuliani says that running against Palin would position him as a moderate Republican in contrast to Palins views. Morgan called him the acceptable face of the Republican party, to which Americas Mayor replied, Well. I dont know if Im acceptable. The way I got elected as mayor of New York City was not being acceptable. My slogan was You cant do any worse.
He adds that hes learned from his time campaigning in the 2008 primaries and, this time around, will focus his efforts on winning Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Rudy has no chance b/c of his personal life in the past. Right or wrong, his divorces (and didn’t he serve one wife for divorce while she was being treated for cancer?) and personal life will be publicized and (arguably) blown out of proportion enough that he has no chance. Romney, too, has no chance because of his religion—I’m not saying I agree, just how it will be portrayed.
Ain't that the truth. My biggest fear is that the conservative vote will get split up and a RINO will take the nomination. Like McCain did.
There is absolutely no 'one and only' answer to the problems of this country, and that way of thinking is a problem in itself.
I would hope that his gun grabbing, pro-infanticide ways would be enough to be a non-starter. It is for me, and then some.
Ah - was wondering where his pronouncement came from.

A few are beginning to test the waters so to speak. Gingrich was supposedly meeting with some of his Georgia people. Now Rudy is making some noise. Just a few days ago Ron Paul said he wasn’t considering the Texas senate race but was more likely to make another presidential run. By tax date we may have a large field splashing around.
There will be 20 candidates on the stage for the first debate.
Not really. It’s the folks living on Fantasy Island who think Palin is a conservative.
You are the circus.
Now I see why you call yourself a dumb blonde.
A non-illuminist candidate is exactly what this country is crying for.
Well, go ahead and cling to Palin as she continues to nosedive. That’s your business.
I knew you were a media plant!
Yeah, my candidates are always big media favorites. Especially when they stand up against the amnesty crowd and the gay agenda. Unlike Palin.
REALLY?!
:-D
BRING IT ON, RUDY!
LOL! Oh, your argument is so much more convincing when you add the personal attack, especially bringing a screenname into it. That’s all you got?
Rudy Giuliani has done Republicans a favor by telegraphing who the real conservative is among the probable boatload of Republican contenders for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Her name is Sarah Palin. That Rudy wants to run against her (if she declares) says volumes, so, thanks, Rudy.
