Talk-radio king asks why Hawaii governor seems to be alone in quest to resolve issue
Rush Limbaugh opened his top-rated program today asking why Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie appears to have no support from the White House in his publicized quest to resolve the growing doubt about Barack Obama's eligibility for the Oval Office.
"Where's Obama? Where's the White House? Is this guy flying alone? Neil Abercrombie on his own on this? So much of this is difficult to fathom, to believe," the king of talk radio said.
Limbaugh noted WND's story Wednesday that has led to established media such as the Daily Mail of London declaring in a headline: "Hawaii governor claims record of Obama's birth 'exists in archives' but cannot produce the vital document."

But Abercrombie made a mistake, Limbaugh said, in announcing his investigation in December before he was sure that he could produce the proof.
Abercrombie told the Honolulu paper that resolving the issue is "a matter of principle with me."

If there is not a problem with his BC, why has Obama spent 2 million dollars in Lawyer fees trying to keep it hidden.

This guy was an idiot when he went public with comments before checking to see he really could produce the certificate. I’m getting a big dollop of schadenfreude watching him squirm. Pass the popcorn!
I wouldn’t call Rush a birther, but he has been addressing the issue, in as much as it is now unfolding...... thanks to Abercrombie.
Hannity also mentioned the subject on his radio show today.
I can't believe that Abercrombie is such a loose cannon that he would just propose this on his own without checking with the White House . . . it seems less likely that he was stupid enough to just believe Obama's tale, than that he is involved in some sort of bait and switch. Get World Nut Daily and the birthers all fired up, then yank the rug out from under them.
I'm convinced he's hiding something, I'm just not sure what. Not necessarily his birthplace. Maybe his father isn't listed on the birth certificate, or some other man is listed as the father, or it states that he's illegitimate, or gives his race as "white" . . . lots of possibilities.

While Abercrombie is a bit older now, his beard is nicely trimmed, he mostly likely no longer inhales, and he doesn’t drive that yellow cab or attend anti-Vietnam war protests, he is still known for his rebellious side. He’s also ahead in the polls.

calling someone a birther is to trivialize them as most of us have the “9/11 Truthers” who after nearly 10yrs have yet to provide an ounce of evidence to their theory.
I’ve never seen such an inability to do such a basic thing as to get adequate records concerning Obama’s education, medical, and to put an end to the Birth certificate stuff. I’m not sure what the issue is but it should be pretty clear to even the causal observer that something in these records is embarrassing or would raise uncomfortable questions. I don’t believe this is the most important issue but I do wonder why even the Democrat Gov. can’t put this issue to rest. If this was a Conservative Republican with these kinds of questions the press would be going mad.
Rush actually said the whole Abercrombie story smells. Thinks it’s a set up.
Rush seemed to think otherwise (or just couldn’t believe anyone would be so dumb), but I’ve thought all week that Abercrombie did just naively start ‘talking big’ and said he planned produce proof of Obama’s birth in Hawaii.
Then I think he heard from the White House and is now backing out of this as best he can.
Maybe they’re just floating the doubt out there enough, so they can say later, “well, everybody knew all along there were no official records on him, the precedent’s already been set (besides, can’t you see he’s black, and been down wit’ da struggle??)”.
I think Abercrombie is that stupid. He brought up Obama’s birth certificate without any prompting. He stepped in this steaming pile all by himself to help Obama

I’m afraid its “rope a doping”. All these talk show hosts will get all worked up and the birth certificates will be produced and all talk show folk will look stupid and have no more credibility.
The LSD he took 40 years has not worn off. In his addled mind he just wanted to help Obama. He knew Obama's parents so he claims ...but just might be a weird LSD flashback
I caught some of it and had the impression that Rush viewed the thing as a potential baited hook and was not totally on board with birtherism.
Since a democrat made this statement Rush can bring this up all the time now and link it to Abercrombie, perfect cover. Rush will never let this go now. And since chrissy mathews opened his yap Rush will keep asking the msm where’s the bc in their running comments on his statements and Rush’s on theirs. This has Clinton written all over it.
