Westboro Baptist Church to protest Veterans Funeral in Bordentown, NJ 1/22/2011

I've received word that Westboro Baptist Church (according to their website) will be picketing the funeral of a decorated veteran in Bordentown, NJ on Saturday, January 22nd. We are seeking volunteers to form a silent wall to block the sight of it so the family can bury their son in peace.

The funeral is for Specialist Benjamin Moore who was 23 year old when he gave his life while serving in Afghanistan. The viewing will be held at 9:00 am at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, NJ followed by the funeral at 12:00 pm.

Supporters for the screening wall will gather at 7:30 am. Contact Colin Kelly at 609-513-6084 for more information.

It is just so wrong to protest at a funeral.
These people are akin to the ones who spit on the soldiers who returned from Viet Nam.

Agree or disagree with the war’s .. that is your right. But the soldiers are not the ones who should be burdened with the rhetoric. The families of the soldiers certainly don’t need it at such a time of grieving.

Short notice for the PGR but if they can't make it find some truckers to block the WBC protester morons. Also the WBC say they are coming but they don't always show up. Due to illness I have not been doing the rides but anyone can go. Just don't hit or threaten them. They love to sue & demand police protection.
