A Southern California middle school teacher seduced and molested a 14-year-old student in a sexual affair that lasted several months, until the teacher's husband, a Los Angeles police officer, discovered the relationship and threatened to kill the boy, his family claims in a lawsuit.
The suit, filed Tuesday, claims LAPD officer National Beck threatened to kill the teen and his family with his police department-issued weapon in retaliation for the affair.
The incident allegedly occurred when Beck found his wife, Amy Beck, and the boy in his Burbank, Calif., home and she confessed to the relationship.

He did not "kill" the kid. My question is, if it were your wife would you react the same way? Here in TX I am pretty confident he would serve no time if he acted on his impulse.

I recall sometime ago, a case in Texas. A man came home unexpectely in the middle of the day to find his wife in bed with her lover. Startled at being caught, the wife screamed that she was being raped, at which point the husband drew his weapon and shot the poor guy dead. The husband was held harmless, but the wife was indicted and convicted of mruder..

Maybe so, but , he is walking with a loaded pistol and carte blanc to use it. “I fear for my safety” are the key words and he can stack the bodies like cordwood.
