For the first time in PPP's national polling for the 2012 Republican nomination there's a clear leader: Mike Huckabee. Huckabee's at 24% to 14% for Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney, 11% for Newt Gingrich, 8% for Tim Pawlenty, 7% for Ron Paul, 4% for Mitch Daniels, and 1% for John Thune.

“Nationally” doesn’t count for much, given the process. Plus, it looks like we are a few months out from the poll that really counts. Eschew “news” made from polling horse races.

Hucklebug would be a terrible nominee and an even worse President.

I am aghast that he has so many “conservative” supporters.

Wake up people!

PPP = liberal polling group. Beware the results and note who it is benefiting - typically anyone but Sarah. Appears the Huckster is the current stalking horse for Sarah but Americans know the game now.

These “national polls” or “random sampling polls” means nothing.....until you deal with those who are registered voters or involve in the process of choosing a nominee then take these polls as pure fodder

Remember Giuliani was the guy to beat last time and back in 1995 in was Steve Forbes and back in 1991 it was Paul Tsongas for the Dems all of these men were leading in early polls

Elmer Gantry is a fraud, a socialist, and a lousy guitarist.

Anyone who would support this grifting asshat should have their heads examined.

Many are social conservatives, particulary in religous matters, and flaming liberals on other matters such as economic matters and big brother government.

Sad news, if true. Huckabee (like Romney) simply doesn’t have what it takes to lead this nation into the future...

The most that Huckaliar will ever be is a spoiler.

This two-faced slug will NEVER move into the White House.
