WASHINGTON, CA (AP) -- A Tennessee Democrat is defending his comparison of Republican health care arguments to Nazi propaganda.
Rep. Steve Cohen of Memphis made the remarks earlier this week as House lawmaker debated repealing the new health care law. Cohen, who is Jewish, said Republicans are repeating lies and spreading false information, much like Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels did about Jews before the Holocaust.

He should stand by his comments! However, Barry should denounce them if he really believes the rhetoric is too divisive. I’m waiting on Barry, but I don’t see it happening...
Just great.
“Doubling down” on stupid, outrageous, and utterly contemptible statements (and policies) seems to be the order of the day, amongst Democrats, these days.
Well, I used to call Chuck Schumer the Jewish Obersturmbannfuehrer of the Senate. I guess there has to be one for the House as well.
Hey, Rep. Cohen, that civil enough for you??
Calling conservatives socialists is stupid. Okay if they want to call RINO’s that though.
You beat me by 5 seconds!
He’s a white liberal representing a district that is 85 % black. This is the song and dance he feels he needs to do to keep his seat. ... So very pathetic and whore-like.
Career Politician, never held a real job.

Stephen Ira “Stevo” Cohen (born May 24, 1949) is the U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 9th congressional district, serving since 2007. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He previously served as a Tennessee State Senator for 24 years.
Tennessee’s 9th district includes almost three-fourths of Memphis. Cohen is Tennessee’s first Jewish congressman. Cohen is the only non-black representing a black majority district in Congress.[1]
While serving for three years as Legal Advisor for the Memphis Police Department, Cohen rose to political prominence when he was elected to the Tennessee Constitutional Convention of 1977 at the age of 27. The Convention elected him its vice president.[6] Cohen was then elected to serve as a commissioner on the Shelby County Commission, an office he held from 1978 to 1980.[2] During his time at the Commission, Cohen was instrumental in the creation of The Med, a community-funded regional hospital.[6] In 1980, Cohen served as an interim Shelby County General Sessions Court judge.[2] He has also served as a delegate to the 1980, 1992, and 2004 Democratic National Conventions.[2]
Hey Coburn, why don’t you sit by this guy at the SOTU?...
Sad and shameful.
My sister and family live in Memphis (well, really the outskirts). This is EXACTLY what you would expect from a democrat rep from that district. Remember the Fords?????
IMO, Cohen should look up the term Kapo and see if the shoe fits.
Speaking of panties, here's the tough guy herself.
And, another thing. He looks like if he ever saw a Nazi, Islamist, or a Boy Scout with a trout fillet knife, he’d befoul himself and run away as fast as he could. I doubt him or anyone in his family has any mil service at all. Bald, naked, big talk.
Apparently, the idiot is clueless concerning Godwin’s Law.....=.=
