Say this for Arianna Huffington: she didn't stab Joe Lieberman in the back. On Morning Joe today, the HuffPo founder went for the full frontal assault, telling the outgoing senator to his face "I sincerely hope for the sake of the country that you do not become Secretary of Defense."

Lieberman was not defenseless, at one point condescendingly spelling out for Arianna's sake the name of the author of a report he relied on to conclude Saddam was developing WMD. When Arianna huffed that there was nothing in the report that proves anything, Lieberman sniped "I don't think you've read it, sweetheart."

So let's see, Arianna Huffington, gold digger. Former Republican. Married a man known to be gay but she needed the name, the money, the connections, the fame and went ahead and did it anyway. Once he divorced her moussaka behind, she turned all bitter because her fellow Republican friends didn't support her the way she felt she needed the support.

She truly gives the term "a woman scorned" a new meaning and takes it to new heights!

Her aging not so well is the least of my concerns. What is quite telling about her true character is the ease with which she switched sides so easy which points out to her lack of intellectual and ideological honesty. One simply doesn’t go from the right all the way to the left, as she did, unless she was never strong on her beliefs to begin with and they were all an act from the get go. Which means she was never a true Republican, she just rode on the wagon for as long as it benefited her, as many others do, on both sides of the isle.

One thing that seems to be lost on critics of the Iraq war. Even though no WMDs of Saddam’s were found, Operation Iraqi Freedom directly resulted in Moammar Khadafy surrendering HIS not-so-insignificant stockpile. Khadafy admitted he feared he was next up on the list.
