Even the CBO Says that the repealing of the Democrats scheme of Health Care System Replacement would save a massive $540 Billion hard earned buckaroos. My guess is that the number quoted is a very conservative estimate!
She is the female version of Alan Grayson, obnoxious and ugly.
Only 8,000 have signed up for this - nationwide.
OKLAHOMA joins the fight against mandated DUh-bamaCare....Thank you, Governor Fallin & Attorny General Pruitt.
And no estimate as to the effect of this bill on the deficit, of course...
They’re adding $5 billion in annual spending and increasing tax expenditures by making all health care expenses fully deductible through striking the 7.5% provision.
Not one thing in here about offsetting the additional spending or the tax expenditure. So much for being fiscally responsible - they couldn’t live by “pay-go”, replaced it with “cut-go”, and now they’re already proposing to violate that?
I’d like to see how many tens of billions of dollars this will add to the annual deficit.
I’m in California...I already get hosed. I’d like to buy from another state, but I can’t; one of the big problems obviously. I do think we’ve lost the debate on preexisting conditions however. I understand that insurance is risk-based, and what government is mandating is the opposite, but it seems like everyone I talk to is terrified about being in that category and can understand how ruinous it can be if you are. Either we come up with a high risk pool or something, but if we don’t offer a viable solution to this problem, and allow those people some coverage, it will kill our efforts in my opinion. After all, how big a number are we talking about here? Some put the figures on the truly medically uninsurable as low as 8,000. That’s a problem we should be able to deal with in a country of 307,000,000 with a $14 trillion economy. http://healthblog.ncpa.org/health-problem-quantified/

A high risk pool association is the answer. All carriers must participate, all insured are assessed. That spreads the funding as far and thin as possible...probably a dime or so per month added to the premium. (The claims pool is subsidized)
The pre-x could render you “uninsurable” and put you in the pool, but you would have a place to go, and the premiums should be only slightly higher than the standard risk pool.
If after a period of time you prove to be insurable, you get regular insurance and stay there. Nobody who is already insured gets put into the HRP.
Typically, only about 1% of a state’s insurance market population would be “uninsurable”. The more underwriting that is allowed, the easier it is to do that.
It benefits the insured, the “uninsurable” and the insurance companies, to have this arrangement in place.
Large groups typically have guaranteed issue. The standard being, if they are well enough to work, they are probably healthy enough to insure.
What we are mostly talking about is the individual market, as though you were self employed.
There, we solved it.
This would allow a person to form The National Association of Weed Whacker Operators and generate a national group health plan for all of its members.
Currently multi-state businesses and labor unions can do that.
“While they are thinking of changing the IRS 1040, I wish they would allow a deduction for anyone providing full time care for someone with Alzheimers, parapleigic, or similar severe conditions. They only allow a deduction for BLIND. Well, I can tell you after 3 years of 24/7/365 care of my late husband with Alzheimers, blind would have been a piece of cake by comparison.”
I’m sorry for my last reply to you. My mind was on the subject of this thread, and not your post to me.
My apologies.
Bump your good posting!
Thank you! ;o)
Oh, I’m just now seeing this! Thank you!!
