A2 (U of M) Brought to you by a president of this U who said she was not going to abide by the State Law ending affirmative Action and quotas for selecting students into their Grad Programs.

But they sure know how to pick football coaches.

So it was global warming that caused the ice storm in Maryland early Wednesday morning?

No. That was Global Warming's ugly sister, "Climate Change."

Alternatively, it could be Bush's fault.

Ok, I'm joking.

IIRC, Mary Sue is not only flouting the state law but also an order from the US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

If you recall, the U of M lost the case before the SCOTUS concerning the racial preferences in the undergrad admissions procedure c. 2004. Despite that, in so far as I know, she and her friends have not budged an inch to modify it so that it conforms to the "equal protection" clause of the 14th Amendment.

Instead of of extending her contract, the U of M Regents should have dismissed her for criminal activity, i.e., contempt of the law and the federal courts.

Of course, the Obama administration would never prosecute her on this, since, according to them, only "minorities" have constitutional rights.

Desperate GW/CC Fraudster trying to hang on to their Government Grants.
When Congress stops these grants, they will have to go begging to the Celebrity GW/CC Frausters for a paycheck.
Good luck with that.

If they are violating a Fed Court ruling, that should nullify their contract and they should be terminated.

Oh, how cynical, you are, Marty62. I'm sure that the celebs would be glad to spend their own monies in support of such a worthy cause. (Ok, kidding)

Perhaps in a more perfect, if not globally warm, world...

I’m using the AIDs galas as a marker. The celebs are no longer holding the big flashy (another reason to wear designer gowns and suits) galas. Or they are not getting the press fauning coverage.

One thing about the celeb lefty class, they pimp for Government coverage of the latest fad that they designate.

Yes I tend to be cynical.
After Haiti, will they STILL hold big Star beg fests to get the American People to pour in cash?

Could be a bit of both. Or, the Obamaconomy has hit Hollywood, too.

Yes I tend to be cynical.

Actually, I enjoy being cynical...it saves a lot of time that might be wasted in becoming disappointed. It's just, "Ok, I'm right again."

After Haiti, will they STILL hold big Star beg fests to get the American People to pour in cash?

I saw BOR's re-run at 11pm--he said that it was nearly impossible to follow the cash once it arrived there. That's shameful.

Americans are suppose to pour money into a black hole?

I don’t think So.

Great pun (that probably got by a lot of people here)! I'd like to see that film again. Is it ever on TV these days?
