My land line phone number on Facebook: 800.555.1212
Cell: 800.555.2121

Nothing like phone number munging to give the telemarketers a few headaches!

After lots of yammering, the article finally says: But the big-picture answer is that Facebook wants to be, like Google, a personalized center of the internet -- the hub that other websites must branch off from.

(if they want to use your personal info). IOW, they are selling it.

Why do they want your phone number and address? Simple. Because telemarketers can get around the Do Not Call list if you have a “relationship” with a “business partner”.

We can’t build a factory in this country anymore, but we sure can create multi-billion dollar companies that use our own computers to data-mine our lives for advertisers (to sell us Chinese products). No wonder our economy is in the tank!

Be careful everyone they are already giving them out!

Facebook users advised to remove personal details after developers gain access to phone numbers and addresses

“The social networking site announced the change on its blog, saying: ‘We are now making a user’s address and mobile phone number accessible.’

Internet security analysts and privacy experts are now advising people to remove their phone numbers and addresses from the site.”

I don’t consider this an issue. I just don’t give them a phone number or address, plus I check off every possible privacy option.

You can’t see a post of mine unless I give permission.

I’m there to keep in touch with my relatives around the USA .
