Deny-er. Last night's ice storm and freezing cold in the DC-NY area was caused by global warming, you know it. It makes it colder in the winter, hotter in the summer, rainier in the spring and dryer in the fall(or vice versa), and it created the STINK-BUG invasion. Hail to Al Gore :)

Good article. I especially like the sentence "Thats recursive enough to make Ouroboros weep in envy." which sent me scrambling to the dictionary. You learn something new everyday.

It has cashed in its chips, fallen off its perch, gone south, gone west, shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the Choir Invisible. Man-made Global Warming has ceased to exist. "This is an ex-theory!"

The fact is that we cant account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we cant. When the facts don't fit the hypothesis, it's time to revise the hypothesis.

When the facts don't fit the hypothesis, it's time to revise the hypothesis facts.

The latest discovery to refute global warming is that sea levels may actually be dropping. If that proves true, then Al Gore’s baby is deader than Generalissimo Francisco Franco.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience
Pseudoscience is a claim, belief, or practice which is presented as scientific, but which does not adhere to a valid scientific methodology, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status. Pseudoscience is often characterized by the use of vague, exaggerated or unprovable claims, an over-reliance on confirmation rather than rigorous attempts at refutation, a lack of openness to evaluation by other experts, and a general absence of systematic processes to rationally develop theories. The term "pseudoscience" is inherently pejorative, because it suggests that something is being inaccurately or deceptively portrayed as science. Accordingly, those labeled as practicing or advocating pseudoscience normally dispute the characterization.
Distinguishing scientific facts and theories from pseudoscientific beliefs such as astrology, homeopathy, medical quackery, occult beliefs, and other superstitions [Add: AGW] is part of science education and scientific literacy.

His complaint actually addressed the lack of reliable instrumentation. He thought that if we had enough of the right kind of sensors, they would confirm his AGW. He was referring to the energy budget of the earth. Ultimately, the amount energy radiated by the earth must equal incident solar energy plus any energy released by the earth, from nuclear reactions and chemical processes. This follows from the elementary physics, tying up the details and determining the equilibrium point is messy.

So now the deniers are all full of crap? You've got sceptics and septics confused.

This is the biggest hoax in scientific history- when Watson and Crick discovered the double helix they didn't need to forge a "consensus" among the world's scientists - they had the truth. And it was proven and accepted.
These Global Warning alarmists are embarrassing themselves and hurting science.
