I continue to believe that Sarah Palin is not yet qualified to be president, but my admiration for her continues to grow. Her interview with Sean Hannity, just aired, was almost pitch-perfect. It was dignified. It was well-modulated. It was strong. And it was thoughtful. She kept her composure even as Hannity put on the screen some of the vilest, most vicious attacks against her -- the sorts of things that were so bad that if they were said about me they might shake me to my core. She explained her thought process after hearing about the shooting in Tucson, and explained the timing of her videotaped message, and explained her use of the term "blood libel." She insisted, rightly, that strong and honest -- but respectful -- political debate should not be stifled, and noted that it only seems like the right is asked to stifle its views. She was correct on all counts. The truth is, there is almost nothing this lady has ever done or said that merits the sorts of venomous vitriol to which she has been subjected. Her rhetoric is sharp but not hateful. Her views -- and even more, her actual record -- are mainstream conservative, not extremist..

She would make a ten times better president that OBozo.
Okay Quin what does she need to do to become qualified. What kind of imbecilic opening statement was that?
Somewhere in the last couple days an interview with Brit Hume really stuck in my brain. He commented on Palin’s video release. Said that it was for him at least a highly produced video that indicated her very real chance of running. Seemed to think her performance was presidential. He seemed very sincere and taken aback at the same time...kinda like “his moment” if you will.
'Nuff read.
That is not saying much
Well, what this says to me is that he still can’t imagine himself to be a Palin fan—but that she is impressive in every way. In other words, the praise is all the more impressive because he is not shilling for her.
I didn’t watch this one, but I did watch the blood libel speech, and I thought that that was pitch perfect, too.
as long as she doesn’t get congress to implement an ethics law with a big fat loophole for scot-free pot shots at the executive like it had in alaska, she’ll be ok
When did dunham become qualified???
Palin / West ‘12
“.....there is almost nothing this lady has ever done or said that merits the sorts of venomous vitriol.... “
B/S... “almost”, “ALMOST”????
There has been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SHE HAS EVER SAID OR DONE that merits the venomous vitriol thrown at her. NONE.
She knocked it out of the park like she always does.
Palin 2012....
As someone who hoped she would do well I am vert pleased with the interview.
“There has been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SHE HAS EVER SAID OR DONE that merits the venomous vitriol thrown at her.”
Wrong. At least, to leftist thinking that is wrong. She committed the gravest sin of all-refused to abort a child with Down’s Syndrome. She must be destroyed at all costs. Can’t have someone blaspheming leftist homage at the alter of death like that.
no Need to read the whole thing. the rest of the blog post refutes his first statement. I don’t think he is “smart” enough to understand that but then what more do you expect form Quinn.
quinn is a Mitt supporter. for a mitt supporter to write this you know she hit a homerun.
Being “qualified” to be president doesn’t really mean much. Bill Clinton was “qualified”, so was Carter, so was Johnson, so was FDR. Who cares if they are “qualifed” if they push policies that are bad for America?
Mitt is certainly “qualified” by experience, but no conservative in their right mind would vote for him over Palin, who has less experience.
You got me on that one. ;>)
yes It was the reason for the massive backlash form the media the video was terrific and it hit home on all counts. they could not not attack it and simply let it stand. the irony was that by attacking it they got more people to watch it which gave it more power.
