What makes you doubt the article?

Life imitates Monty Python:

Sorry, I think you've opened up a hornets (or bees) nest here.

IIRC, he was trying to buy a license for his pet fish, Eric. And the word "dog" was crossed out and "cat" was written in with crayon.

You wrote:

Probably got on the jury duty list from registering to vote.
From the article:
It is thought he accidentally ended up on the juror list when paperwork was misread at the last census.

and

'Sal is a member of the family so I listed him on the last Census form under pets but there has clearly been a mix-up.'
Is there someplace saying they registered Sal to vote?

Nope.

The point is that I do not doubt for one second that Sal was indeed summoned for jury duty.

There isn’t a place on the census forms to list pets. Therefore if the article is accurate in stating that she said that we know instantly that she is lying.

If she’ll lie about something so patently wrong and easy to check there is every reason to suspect she is dishonest in other areas of her life as well.

I have no reason to think that she is an honest conservative/republican.

Jury pools are customarily drawn from voter rolls.

I have no reason to think she didn’t register her pussy to vote democrat.

I have no reason to doubt the article, and every reason to suspect that she voted early and often.

I hope that clears it up for you.

There isn’t a place on the census forms to list pets.

Perhaps you're not aware that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires, by statute, an annual street listing census. In addition to voter residency confirmation, it is sometimes used for pet licensing compliance. And....jury duty.

See, for example, http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2011/01/09/annual_census_forms_due/

There's no "Suffolk Superior Crown Court" there, either, but remember that this is DailyMail.co.uk...a conservative rag. I doubt these people said "US Census form"; they probably said "census form," and the dailymail editors added "US," thinking they were clarifying things.

>>Did you see the source? The UK, aka England??? SHE’S A BRIT!

The article is from a Brit newspaper. Sal and his owner are from Boston, aka Massachusetts, a commonwealth of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
