A trach and PEG (her feeding tube) are SOP for head injury patients - she might be breathing on her own but not alert enough to protect her airway from choking on secretions.
Hummmm! I wonder if she did a "LIVING WILL" that said "I don't want any artificial feeding or ventilators to keep me alive." Evidently not, as they are.
They keep pushing for people to get "LIVING WILLS" How the heck at a young age would you really know what you want when that time comes? For me I will leave that up to MY FAMILY! not my doctor. Although under ObamaCare we probably won't get that choice.
