THIS WEEK (ABC): Town hall discussion from Tucson, Ariz. (Enraged shot Leftist threatens TEA party Leader, gets arrested and put into mental observation)
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Reps. Tim Murphy, R-Pa., and Grace Napolitano, D-Calif.
Haven’t seen it yet, but another aspect of this that’s not been brought up in the coverage I’ve heard is Terry Schiavo, and the ‘persistent vegetative state’, she also opened here eyes, there’s a youtube video of that, and she deserved that chance for a miracle too.
Pat, keep up the good work for all of us.
When he got his butt kicked last November. Now he’s trying to salvage what’s left of his presidency.
Way to go Fish,Freepers rule!!One Freeper can take out 10 RINOS anywhere in the country.
FNS panel discussing the Sarah Palin “Blood Libel” response to the leftist accusation of her involvement.
I think she was right on and properly called the RATs on their demonization tactics.
I don’t consider Christie a fraud. He’s true to what he believes and refreshingly candid. In fact, I adore the fat thing.
He’s not someone I would consider for the presidency because he’s not conservative enough for me. But, duh!
I wouldnt compare Christie to McCain. McCain is in a fairly conservative state and Christie a more liberal one. I applaud Christie for the conservative positions he has and his taking on the unions as hes done.
Even though some of the pundits laud Christie as a national candidate I doubt he would win a nationwide race for conservative Republican voters.
Its kind of like MD and other states that lean left. We have to take what we can as we continue educating voters and showing results. Colorado, for one, has a problem with the teacher and government union workers pensions. Its going to bankrupt our state unless something is corrected. I will happily use Christie as an example to counter the union demands of unlimited pensions and healthcare.
He delivers virtually NOTHING of what he promised and then has to run again against a credentialed Democrat.
The voters look at what he’s actually done (um, some interviews, and uh, well...) conclude that conservatism ain’t so great. (And of course having now made a Democrat of himself he’ll be running against one and you know the old saw about two Democrats running against each other, I trust.)
You’ll get one term out of Christie in NJ and almost no meaningful change. Plus conservatism will be dead there for at least another decade. (The average voter will be confusing it with Islam!)
Christie has clearly already staked out a “national” platform. He has as much ability to resist the allure of the lamestream media as the desert tray. But maybe he knows already he’s a one-termer in the state house and is going for the White House now.
Good luck to Christie in the South Carolina primary! Can’t wait for the speech down there wherein he touts the virtues of the Ground Zero mosque!
He’s miles above that awful, arful Corzine.
And frankly, he’s have a real political future if he’d go right a bit.
The only thing to do is keep bearing down on these RINOS.
Couple of things I want to mention here. First, did y’all hear the lowdown on that NJ tunnel railroad thing?
Turns out it was all done without any final approval from the state. Seems Corzine was running for governor and he needed a big splash thing. So he announced that NJ received bazillions for the feds, happy days are here again, any soul will be able to board the NJ train and in a couple of minutes be in NY or Delaware or DC....all with dinner served and wine carafed.
Only the train went five stories below Macy’s and in order to get to Penn station the NJersyan would have to climb up to the street and trudge four blocks.
Anyway, it’s a sin before God, it’s a sin. And NJ would have to bear all the “cost overruns”. Y’all know that “cost overruns” are essentially kickbacks to construction donors who then contribute to political campaigns and folks, they pee upon our feet and tell us it’s raining.
And how about that ballarina Ron Reagan and his awful book?
What the hell, what in the freaking hell, is to be gained, by his revelations, even IF they are true.
Bear in mind that back in the time of Reagan I was liberal dunce (and there is no other kind) and did not like Reagan. It was then part of the liberal talking points to automatically hate Reagan.
And I used to think he was getting Alzenheimers. The newspapers were always poking fun at how forgetful he was. And, of course, there was Nancy and her seances and very expensive dinner plates.
Hey, I believed the Washington Compost and NY Times because, well hey, they were the WAPO and NY Times!
Still, even IF Reagan was starting down the road to Alzenheimers, very debatable as the man mostly functioned very well. I tossed off his forgetfulness to the fact that he was quite older when he got elected but even IF...
He was a fine president, he got elected by a landslide, twice, he is beloved by the American people...
And now this little fart of a son is out to get big bucks by sullying his father’s name.
The best thing that could happen to young Ron is for him not to sell a single book. If he fell off the stage during a pirouette it would be nice as well.
ABC Town Hall - Debbie whatshername is now talking about how we need more and better mental health services (gov’t/taxpayer funded?). Discusses getting “involuntary committment” laws passed for people who appear mentally ill.
LE dude is fearful of more people carrying guns who aren’t emotionally mature enough to handle the responsibility - like Loughner (uh, his problem was way beyond being immature!).
The colonel who tackled the gunman says we need guns, but doesn’t understand how Loughner was able to get a license after not being able to enter the military.
TP member speaking - HIPPA laws would prevent people (issuing a gun license) from knowing his mental background.
TP guy also points ou how the applause in this town hall is inappropriate right now; all the funerals have not ocurred yet; he lost his neighbor. (THANK YOU for pointing that out, TP dude!) - brings up all the immediate jumping to political finger-pointing and how inappropriate THAT is.
IMHO, it’s predictable. All the networks would like to see some moderate Republican for president candidate in 2012. So they have to tear Palin down while elevating Pawlenty, Huckabee, Newt, Christie, etc.
I dont consider Christie a fraud. Hes true to what he believes and refreshingly candid. In fact, I adore the fat thing.
Hes not someone I would consider for the presidency
But you like him anyway.
Exactly just another McCAin/brokeback Lindsay. Sooner or sooner they all show who they are.
The Round table roundly criticizing Palin for not allowing her allies in the media to defend her, what allies? Glad she stood up and fought for herself unlike any other politician.
Pray for America
Yep. They’re in the habit of picking candidates. They propelled Obama over Hillary and did their best to push McCain. As defeatist as it sounds, 2000 was the last election truly decided by Americans.
I’m getting a little sick of what the ‘networks’ want...
What's gratifying is that Sarah nailed their hide to the wall for their "Blood Libel" statements against her. And where, pray tell, were the other alleged Republican leadership during all of this? Well, Newt came out after he saw it was safe and that Sarah was taking it to the media. Romney? He was over sucking up in Afghanistan to Karzi (sp) to try and establish his foreign policy credentials (an impossible task for him).
So tell me ................. who was displaying presidential type of leadership? Sarah Palin and only Sarah Palin!
Disgusting of Ron jr. but what did you expect from the little sleeze.
(the following comment is not directed at you now, Fish, but a general comment about Christie)
I’m all for a pureness test when it comes to the presidency, exept we’ll play heck getting anyone who can pass the pureness test on FR.
But for Christie and Scott Brown, what did people expect? They are so much better than anyone who held their posts before. I would settle for their types in all the blue states.
Thanks. These so-called pundits may be in for a rude awakening in November, 2012.
Christiana on ABC Town Hall mentions at the very end about Fuller making threats to TP member (doesn’t mention what he actually said). Fuller was “involuntarily committed”. Whoops, Debbie W Schulz, I guess Arizona has already passed that law.
Hopefully 2012 will change a lot of this.
