PHOENIX One of the Arizona shooting victims was arrested today and then taken for a psychiatric evaluation after authorities said he took a picture of a tea party leader at televised town hall meeting and yelled: "you're dead."
James Eric Fuller, 63, objected to something Trent Humphries said during the forum taped for a special edition of ABC's "This Week" with Christiane Amanpour, Pima County sheriff's spokesman Jason Ogan said. Fuller was in the front row and apparently became upset when Humphries suggested that any conversations about gun control should be delayed until all the dead were buried, KGUN-TV in Tucson reported.
Fuller was arrested on misdemeanor disorderly conduct and threat charges, Ogan said. While Fuller was being escorted out, deputies decided he needed a mental health evaluation and he was taken to a hospital, where he remained this evening.
The hospital will determine when he will be released, Ogan said.
Fuller was one of 19 people shot at a Safeway store Jan. 8. Six people died and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords remains in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head.
Fuller described the shootings as "a bad crime drama" in an interview on CBS' "The Early Show." He said he felt a bullet that hit his knee but didn't know he had also been struck in the back. Fuller, a naval air veteran, drove himself to Northwest Hospital after being shot, according to the Arizona Daily Star. He was later taken to University Medical Center where he was released two days later.

Geraldo: “IRONICALLY, he is a hardcore liberal.”
A local station affiliated with ABC did report Fuller had a TEA party connection this AM. There is no link and they were words, from the anchor only. The anchor was of a local station and affiliated with ABC. May need to keep a heads up on this one....imho
You can see it in this NY Post article. There is no mention of the actual threatening words the Perp uttered, "Your Dead".
Mental could be anything including an inability to maintain DADT protocol.
Very strange. I just pulled it up:
“Mental could be anything including an inability to maintain DADT protocol.”
This guy appears to have been disharged before DADT ever went online.
The NY Times' Political Correctness editor must have been off for the weekend, because they reported it!
The New York Times January 15, 2011:
"Ms. Proud said she spoke up to clarify the bills language. Trent Humphries, the founder of the Tucson Tea Party, who was sitting one row behind her, rose to speak and suggested that discussion about gun legislation be postponed until after the funerals. He started to say that he had also been affected by the tragedy because a neighbor was a victim.
At that point, Ms. Proud said, Mr. Fuller blurted out to Mr. Humphries, Youre dead.
Mr. Fuller then began to behave in a very odd manner, she said. He was making inappropriate comments.
Ms. Proud said that after the forum ended, she went to one of the police officers providing security at the forum and asked him to file a report about Mr. Fullers remark to Mr. Humphries. The officer told her it was being investigated.
About five police officers surrounded Mr. Fuller and escorted him out. As he was leaving, Ms. Proud said, he turned and yelled, Youre all whores!
yes, I use the same except mine are in...a...9mm...casing...but at least I have 15+1!
More proof that liberalism is a mental disease
Of course, this threat of violence will receive muted reporting from the MSM.
We can’t have the truth out now can we? the media has filtered hearing syndrome.
The Tea Party guy was asking for it. /sarc
How's point blank range right in the head for shot placement? 9mm sucks. If that's what you want to carry, go ahead. It wouldn't be my first choice though.
I have yet to have a 45 is better the any thing advocate wiling to take the frist round from a 9mm.

Sheriff Distick is just covering his own butt here. He has no business arresting Fuller after he himself made baseless, libelous accusations that the Tea Party was involved in the shootings. You make accusations like that, you have to expect that someone will want to do them harm.
