"...I’m thinking is why Obama didn’t go to Ft. Hood after the shooting for a memorial....

He did go to it..I watched the footage. It was a real memorial. That one was done appropriately. The latest was the kick off to Obama's planned(fake) move to the center and for the political science dufus award of the century.

Even the most arrogant or sensitivity challenged can sense that the purpose of the "event" was rancid. But they didn't care... They just could not help themselves.

I’m with you , Victory Gal. As a snowbird resident of Giffords’ district, I thought the President’s remarks were spot on, wholly appropriate, genuine, and moving. I also thought Robert Shelton (U of A Pres) and the crowd were an embarassment. And no, I’m not a newbie troll. I’ve been hanging around this site for over a decade. I agree with almost nothing this president has done, but this time he got it right.

Yes, they are saying it was closed captioning for the deaf members of the audience.... sure...

The other problem is that 99.9% of the audience didn’t know the victims from a bowl of beans.

“But unlike the left, I look on substance and not personalities.”

Fine, but I also look at the history, track record, and proven intent of a man.

Even Hitler gave a few seemingly heartfelt and ‘appropriate for the crowd’ speeches.

Obama and his marry band of traitors are destroying our country-—not just hurting it, but destroying it. Obama deserves no quarter.

A REAL LEADER would have come out of hiding, to calm the waters a few days before this rally style event. Obama held back and watched the attacks fester and grow... because the lies were to his benefit.

This a$$ doesn’t give a damn about the welfare of this country or it’s citizens... he cares about him, his power and his radical dream of gutting America.

A leopard can't change its spots. If anyone thinks that leopard is now a lamb, go ahead, just try petting it!

But don't come crying to the rest of us Freepers if you pull your hand back and there's just a stump where your hand used to be.

Please. Haven't we seen enough? Don't we have enough evidence yet? Are you really so blindingly optimistic that you can accept this at face value?

Until you read Radical-in-Chief by Stanley Kurtz, you have not the knowledge to see this administration clearly; you only have bits and pieces. Once you understand his 30 year career among America's socialists, all the players and their organizations and their funding, you will then know that every move, every word, is choreographed to further socialism. These are people committed, COMMITTED, for life, to the philosophical cause best described by Whittaker Chambers.

It is just too late in the day to be fooled.

I lost some respect for Glenn Beck's intellectual prowess the other day, when he featured two books by Gavin Menzies on his show: 1421: The Year China Discovered America (New York: Harper, 2008) and 1434: The Year a Magnificent Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance (New York: Harper, 2009). Although the claims by Menzies--a former naval officer and an unsuccessful politician--that China discovered America and launched the Renaissance have been universally panned by professional historians, Beck stated on his show that he believes them.

Horse manure.
Congratulations to Ubama’s speechwriter for fooling people like you with this sleazy campaign kickoff.

Screw Obama. He can say things that sound appealing, even endearing to the likes of Beck and Krauthammer. But Obama's deeds will always belie his words.

Since I tend to ignore Obama I didn’t realize he went. Nobody from the media seemed to link the two memorials or even mention that he went to Ft. Hood that I was aware. I don’t want to have to go back watching MSM again.

The speech was bizarre in that the atmoshphere was very irreverent.

At times - you could tell Obama was soaking up the adoration from the cheering students.
Pumping his arm while having some of the people present stand up to screams - very weird.

The content of the speech -too - was bizarre.
He said - basically - that while the shooting had nothing to do with political debate, we must, therefore, be more civil while we debate.
Huh?

He could have said “maybe we need to rethink our approach towards the mentally ill” or “maybe our system for background check is flawed”
But no - let’s not address the REAL cause of the shooting.
Let’s simply claim we will “never know” the cause.

copout.

And then, of course, let’s not acknowledge that this was really a campaign kickoff complete with new slogan and cheesy t’s. Unbelievable.

I’m thinking that Fox doesn’t want to upset the WH prior to Superbowl Sunday and the “big interview” that I’m sure will be filled with a whole lotta nothing as well.
