The speech was bizarre in that the atmoshphere was very irreverent.

At times - you could tell Obama was soaking up the adoration from the cheering students.
Pumping his arm while having some of the people present stand up to screams - very weird.

The content of the speech -too - was bizarre.
He said - basically - that while the shooting had nothing to do with political debate, we must, therefore, be more civil while we debate.
Huh?

He could have said “maybe we need to rethink our approach towards the mentally ill” or “maybe our system for background check is flawed”
But no - let’s not address the REAL cause of the shooting.
Let’s simply claim we will “never know” the cause.

copout.

And then, of course, let’s not acknowledge that this was really a campaign kickoff complete with new slogan and cheesy t’s. Unbelievable.

I’m thinking that Fox doesn’t want to upset the WH prior to Superbowl Sunday and the “big interview” that I’m sure will be filled with a whole lotta nothing as well.

Again - these are all teleprompter fodder for dolts

How anyone can even watch anything from obama a tthis point and not realize this is all a show for idiots and sheep is beyond me.

Sad to say, but Obama has made me so cynical about politics and the office of the POTUS, I look at so much more now than I used to.

Obama always uses this technique. It allows people to hear what they want to hear.

If it's anything like the first one they did pre-election 2008, it'll be a total waste of time; and most likely will be anyway. BOR disgusted me with his pompous demeanor; Nobama disgusted me with his pompous demeanor as well.
