You can add Dennis Prager and Brit Hume to the list of conservative fans of Bummer’s speech. Larry Elder, on the other hand, completely dissected the event and especially Bummer’s discordant performance as the travesty it was.
You three need to bone-up on how to tell the difference between platitudes and meaningful insight.
I like Beck. I admire Beck. I've listened to him a bit and often enough to know that he himself is prone to confuse platitudes and insight. Maybe he really did think Obama was presidential. The dolt.

They were there to intimidate Governor Brewer and those citizens of Arizona who support her efforts re: immigration.
IMO Obama is soft selling the public because if the public is going to rebel against his agenda, and him ,it will be in his timing. So of course that means the media are going to get their “marching orders” prior to any speeches, regardless of the reason he’s speaking. Thus we see it all playing out by those under his thumb.
It is no secret the country is divided....as it should be at this time when our country is being driven into the dirt. There are those who want and believe in all the distinctions which make a country soverign unto itself..... Then their are those who are drinking the “Universalists, Globalists” koolaid...all in the name of a ‘false’ conception of “Peace” among nations....and it’s poppycock!
There was a time when a great man once said...”Choose this day who you will serve”.... Our country is divided because we are fighting against an evil which if it takes hold completely, and this thru our current administration, then we will never again rise to the place we have so long known.
I will not stand by and watch the distinctions about the USA be driven away from us. We have borders, we have lands, and we have a people who love freedom...and the last I saw these are still under God. All which are worthy of being protected....and if this administration refuses to do so... I will none-the-less.
Some have no discernment between the two...might be a “feel good” mentality going on there. The speech “got to them”...”moved them”...which only proves they are vulnerable to being mislead. Some peoples emotions dictate where they will stand...so their mind will follow whatever they feel at any given moment.

It may also mean that the speech was loaded with post-hypnotic suggestions as a follow up to the NLP groundwork laid during the 2008 campaign.
Knowing that Obama uses NLP and hypnotic techniques in his speeches, I simply turn the channel when I find him on...so I can't say that I have analyzed his speech from Tucson. That said, he has relied on NLP before and the effects of the Tucson speech were precisely what someone would expect of hypnosis (i.e. Koolaid drinking). For evidence, one need look no further than the new Obama converts on this very thread.

Speaking of which, if this wasn't a campaign rally, why was she BOOOED? You don't booo people at a funeral. For me this was the tell tale moment. You might be able to give lame excuses for t shirts, and other junk, but the boooing. Boooing has no place at a memorial service.

Without reservation, I love Glenn Beck and his courage in exposing so much administration corruption. But, sometimes I wonder if he doesn’t have a self-destructive streak. with all due respect to JR and the Fresno lads, threads like this prove once again that FR is not all that culturally conservative sadly and though the average freeper is more informed than the average voter they are still not up to speed and strive to give what they percieve as the right answer..the only that will not get them in trouble.
