A new national study among 1,437 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that Americans indicated that Sarah Palin was more sincere and believable after viewing her speech in response to the shootings in Tucson.
The study was conducted during January 13-14 by HCD Research and reported on its MediaCurves.com® website, to obtain Americans perceptions of Sarah Palin after viewing a video of a speech she gave in response to the shootings in Tucson.
Respondents were asked to rate Sarah Palin on a scale from 1-7 regarding likeability, believability and sincerity, with 1 representing not at all strong in this attribute and 7 representing extremely strong in this attribute.
With the exception of likeability among Democrats, Palins attribute ratings increased among all parties after viewing her speech. The most notable increase was her sincerity ratings, which increased from 2.62 to 2.69 among Democrats, from 5.25 to 5.45 among Republicans and from 3.68 to 3.85 among Independents.
Here is the raw data. 81% of Republicans and 56% of independents concluded that the speech will help her image and 78% of Republicans and 54% of independents concluded that the speech will help her in a potential presidential run.

A position paper? I read her Going Rogue book and that told me all I needed to know about her and confirmed what I learned about her during the 2008 campaign. When she speaks, it’s from the heart, not from the heart of a teleprompter. She follows the Constitution, believes in America’s greatness and refudiates the evil in our enemies both foreign and domestic. She exhibits leadership skills at every level of her professional and personal life.
I wish she would recall Abraham Lincoln’s quote when addressing the malice toward her.
“With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.”

Indeed, I'd love to see that just for the howls of protest it would generate on the left. The Democrats keep trying to lay claim to Lincoln; it'd be very rewarding to use his words against them.
The TLC ‘Alaska’ show was fun.
But it’s time to get serious, ie. the recent speech she made. Very presidential.

Well she scares them because she is able to communicate straight to the public...one of Reagan’s traits. The media hates this as does the Republican establishment.
Gov. Palin is learning how to communicate with the public, without the media filter and interference. She can say what she wants on Facebook, release a video on YouTube, all without buying airtime on an alphabet channel, nor being interrogated by hostile journalists with their confused face reaction shots. There will be plenty of time for those encounters when the time is right, but for now, Gov. Palin is taking charge of her image and her quotes and people can see what she's about without the media telling us what she's about.
But, the RINOs are saying that she jumped the shark.
Include President Bush.
You said my sentiments better than I have ever done. What we need is for SOMEONE in the public eye, or a few someones, to repeat what you have said above, several public times. The general public needs to hear that the hatred and malice leveled at her, when she has committed no heinous act, is unprecedented, and they need to think about WHY that is, and what our "media" might really be.

Oh dear. No one will. I know several on the left who are appalled at the Bolsheviks’ tactics, but they won’t endanger themselves or their positions, and some have high positions to lose.

One thing that makes Palin such a standout is the difference between her and her potential rivals for the GOP presidential nomination. As a group, they remind me of the talked-about-but-never-seen character “Mr. Loopner” from the Todd and Lisa skits on the original SNL:

I'm reading America By Heart now. It's a whole book of position papers.
Of course, I've also read most of the 297 articles that Sarah Palin has written in the past two years, on every major issue facing the USA and the world, some published in various MSM news outlets, and all preserved on her Facebook Notes page.
PalinTV - In Her Own Words. Unfiltered. has hundreds of speeches and video clips wherein Palin addresses just about anything anyone could want to know about her views on anything.
The Policy & Issues section of the PalinTV.com site has 42 separate pages on Sarah Palin's positions on policy and issues.
All this, in addition to Going Rogue and America By Heart, is still just not enough. I'm looking forward to hearing more from and about Sarah Palin.
Perhaps after eight years as President, we'll know a little more about this mystery woman, her vision for the future of the USA, and maybe some hint of her positions on various political issues.
I said it on another thread on here.....she may be the next POTUS. This hit on her will backfire. I love her and I must say at times she’s sounded shrill in her delivery but this time she was soft-spoken and as usual, direct and to the point. I loved that speech and that speech may be a turning point for her. IMHO.....:)
