If this is a one-night thing, I don't have a problem with it. But if this is the Dems and RINOs trying to put the brakes on the momentum from the mid-term elections, The GOP should say no thanks. But they won't because they have no spine.

I have a problem with it. The whole point of having sides is to demonstrate the party in power.

I got a problem with it too. It’s a trap to support a visual illusion. What illusion you might say? The illusion that all members of both houses of Congress are in agreement with the Won. How can they achieve this illusion? Think of how many times through the last SOTUA the entire chamber stood on it’s feet to applaud the POTUS. I don’t know what the number was, but now double it at least. If one party stands in approval, the entire body will feel compelled to stand, just as if the guy next to you stands to cheer at a basketball game, you likely will too. The illusion will be a completely unified congress despite what pure garbage the TOTUS is telling the POTUS to spew. I wonder what Joe Willson will be shouting about this year. “You Lie!” didn’t seem to stick last year as I recall. But it was the absolute truth. Don’t expect ANY truth to come out of this SOTUA. It’s all just an illusion.
