The mayor of Connecticut's largest city has gotten the message.
So why in the world can't Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly?
Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says The Post's call for police departments to stop buying Glock sidearms until the company stops general sales of 30-round magazines -- like the one used in the Tucson massacre -- is "an excellent idea."

Not to mention the numerous other companies that manufacture 30+ round magazines for Glock handguns.
Oh, here's one now.
Glocks should be “boycotted” because their design is inherently unstable and unsafe, and every HONEST gunsmith / gunseller knows it.
I mean like didn't they pump 20+ rounds into that guy? Then there's the poor guy who pulled his wallet on them eh. 58 rounds? You need a couple of magazines for that!
If they want to get the firepower on target NYPD is going to need to send more guys on each hit.
Will someone tell these a$$holes what Leahy said about Vermont have LOW crime and NO gun control.
No one makes one for my Model 20. I am depressed. snif
The libs need to get their story straight. Was it Sarah Palin’s fault or was it the gun’s fault? Or maybe since Sarah Palin didn’t stick, they are now blaming it on the gun.
...And no, you don’t have to have your finger on or near the trigger mechanism for your “trusty” Glock’s firing pin to release. If the truth were known about these weapons they would be junked by their owners overnight, but somehow the truth seems to disappear from the ‘net, or be “cleanly” controverted - especially on Google. So ask an honest gunsmith, face-to-face. I’ll say no more.
Aren’t most high-capacity magazines made by a third party?
Maybe next they’ll propose that the NYPD boycott body armor until criminals stop shooting at them. I’m sure the NYPD would be thrilled with that idea as well.
That’s dumb Boycott Glock because they refuse to stop selling 30 round magazines. Now question is,Who does Glock sell more Firearms to?The Police Departments of this country or the civilians that want to defend themselves.
My bet would be the civilian market is magnatudes larger. In that event the Police Departments are only harming themselves.
Instead of playing I've got a secret, tell us how they malfunction.
A portion of my agency went back to Glocks because their HKs started malfunctioning due to exposure to salt spray on boats.
Personally, I've had one malfunction with a Glock (magazine) and one with my HK (feed ramp got filthy after shooting a few hundred rounds of "green" ammo.)
Maybe the rest of us ought to boycott NYC-based big banks, especially the ones that received a bailout.
Blaming guns for violence, is like blaming spoons for Michael Moore being fat.
20 years with Glocks and not a problem.
I guess I’m just living on borrowed time.
It doesn't stop with just 33 rounds! There is a 40 round drum magazine available for the .45 ACP Glock 21 in the aftermarket! If they were legal here in the People's Republic, I'd buy one, because ... well, just because I could!
And Massachusetts should have boycotted Oldsmobiles.

Ridiculous nonsense. Your tin foil hat needs a refit.
That will 'trigger' another civil war.
