I guess I will say who the H*ll cares...either do your job or get out! That goes for our President as well...has nothing to do with race other than the fact they throw it up in my face so much I’m starting to feel like a Dixie Flag...

I will not be shocked if the Grand Olde Party woud try to bring Alen Sphincter out of Voter Imposed Retirement to be their Presidential Candidate in 2012! Or maybe equally bad, they choose Huckleberry as their Illustrious Candidate for ‘12!’ We had H.W. in ‘92’and when he Lost looking like he was tired to a young Race Horse, then they followed up with “Good Olde Dynamic Bob Dole in ‘96!” We watched grass grow under his feet during the Campaign! Then we were Blessed by George W. who is my choice for Greatest President ever! and then they went back to a Geriatric Has Been RINO in ‘08’,a choice guaranteed to give the Office to a RAT! no matter how bad and incompetent!!!

> I guess it’s too late for this round, but I’ve long believed that this would be Palin’s best possible role— to chair the RNC. She is just the sort of energy that the GOP needs, and needs badly.

I agree. As much as I admire Sarah, I don’t think elected office is the right fit. As head of the RNC, however, she can engender a rebirth of the Grand Old Party to Reagan greatness.

Lets hope not!

While I know little about Reince Priebus, I'm overjoyed Michael Steele is FINALLY gone. Steele thought it was his job to embrace candidates who didn't support the GOP’s conservative party platform in total. Those liberal and so-called moderate GOP candidates, who supported a bigger federal bureaucracy, higher taxes, continued abortion rights, more gun control, more homo rights and amnesty for illegal immigrants, Steele would get behind wholeheartedly.

I heard former RNC chair Jim Nicholson say today, had Steele done his job, Republicans would have picked up an additional 23 House seats and several more Senate seats and Governorships. Jim Nicholson is an honorable man, a decorated military veteran and a true patriot, with the highest integrity of any public official I've ever met face to face. I trust and I believe his analysis of Steele's tenure as RNC head honcho.

Good riddance, Mister Steele and best wishes to Mister Priebus!

Anybody want to place bets that Steele will publish a book timed to do the most damage to conservative activists and the GOP?

I bet he does so a month or two before the next presidential election. Accompanied by a feature series in the Washington Post. What say you?

If the Republicans are so brain-dead as to nominate an old doofus like Barbour, Obama will continue to destroy this country for another four years.

Bob Dole Part Deux.

Prebius will do a great job...he is the one who can bring the Tea Party and the GOP forces together and he has a proven track record for the GOP in WI. He has a great pro-life stance and is wholly conservative on social issues. I don't see any truth in the innuendo proposed by some on his involvement in the stimulus team at his law firm. With his pro-life stance he is by default against obamacare.

As someone who’s been there and done that, I personally think the times are far worse than they were in the 70’s

The Tea Party needs to usurp the GOP not really work with it. This is a purge.

Steele might write a book right before the 12 election but it won’t have any effect -— who the h3ll would read it?

Thought so. You have no clue as to the situation. Pity that. If you’d seen the debate, you might could have made an informed decision.

It’s all water under the bridge now. All we can do is hope for the best.

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

GOP has a tough gig trying to keep freedom loving conservatives like us happy while raising enough money from RINOs to pay their 6 figure salaries and pay their lease payments on their Mercedes Benz E350 convertible.

It’s a tough gig.

Blessing in disguise for Steele. He can write a book and make speeches for cash like Sarah.

They can laugh all the way to the bank.

Steele wasn’t perfect but nobody ever will be.

Michael Steele is better off

I agree that this is an insider’s club, and most of us are just wannabee members. They always sent me ever more requests for more money in exchange for more printed autographed photos or medallions.

I’m now a registered Independent and proud of it. I vote conservative, I vote the candidate and pro USA and not for any Party establishment. The Parties are about maintaining the status quo of more power and more money for the Party itself, and not necessarily for the USA. I agree with Lou Dobbs - go “I” and let them work for your vote.
