WASHINGTON (AFP) First Lady Michelle Obama on Thursday urged parents to teach their children tolerance in response to the deadly Tucson shooting spree that touched off debate about political rhetoric.
Mrs. Obama, who joined her husband at a memorial service for the victims Wednesday, issued an open letter to parents. Children are struggling, she said, to make sense of Saturday's shooting that killed six and left 14 injured, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
"We can teach them the value of tolerance -- the practice of assuming the best, rather than the worst, about those around us," she wrote. "We can teach them to give others the benefit of the doubt, particularly those with whom they disagree."

Another dumb event- T shirts with logo on back of each chair in AZ. I read ONLY one place the White House furnis them for the young college people. They had the words of Obama’s campaign for 2012.
Is this a nut job campaigning during a memerial service?

Someone needs to tell Mrs. Obozo that teaching tolerance to children is all fine and good, but that this is not the reason why the lunatic in Arizona killed six people and injured 14. These people are just too damned stupid.

Someone needs to tell Mrs. Obozo that teaching tolerance to children is all fine and good, but that this is not the reason why the lunatic in Arizona killed six people and injured 14. These people are just too damned stupid. It's not stupidity that causes all this. These people are liberal fundamentalist extremists. They do everything from belief in an utopian theory that makes centralized control and guidance from an elitist and enlightened few the center of their belief system. Anyone that does not stand with them are the idiots and the needy that just need them all the more. All liberals in Washington DC support this basic premise. Even if they take all the wealth and shove it into programs and bureaucracies they will come up short of paying for it all. Only they are blind to that basic problem with their "pie in the sky" beliefs. Talking to them is a waste of time too. Vote them out or use more drastic measures. They have put the freedom of America under a visionary tyranny. We were warned this would happen. They have shown their true colors now. We all know what they dream of. Of what they are planning. 2012 is the last civil discourse within reason. All compromise should be to dismantle the idiotic belief.

Regardless of what we call their lunatic beliefs, they are stupid. Stupid is as stupid does, and there is plenty of evidence to support this contention.
