"Gun control is too simple a phrase to define all the complications and nuances of it, frankly. In Arizona they have a wide open system. I would be nervous about going into a bar or restaurant in Arizona on a Saturday night where people can carry concealed without permits," Tom Brokaw said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." I would be nervous going into a bar in Arizona because it will probably be full of illegals looking for a thrill.

"We hear......
THAT at the screening of his USA Network documentary, "American Character Along Highway 50," Tom Brokaw told The Post's Alisa Wolfson, "You're inheriting a different world -- and its problems are going to be in your hands" . . .

The dream of the Leftist is to disarm the Citizenry that disagrees with them.
The rub is, how do they actually do it? They pass Laws, so they have to depend on voluntary compliance. At some point, some people won't volunteer their right of self defense, at least not in the United States of America that I grew up in.
What then are the Leftists Elites to do? Remember, these are the people that say Deporting Illegal Aliens would be impossible. Do they think there are a lesser amount of gun owners than there are Illegal Aliens in this Country?

I just looked up the murder stats for Tucson and Washington DC (the poster child for gun control).
Over the last 4 years Tucson had 9.4 murders/100,000 residents.
Over the same period Washington had 28.8 murders per 100,000 residents.
Obviously the comparison isn’t perfect but I’m sure Brokaw has gone out on the town more than a few times in DC. How afraid was he when he did so?.

Does anybody else besides me think that Brokaw talks exactly like Hugh Hefner?
I live in S. CA. and I remember watching Brokaw on the local NBC affiliate when I was a youngster. When he got promoted to the NBC Anchor chair, I couldn't believe it. The guy had a lisp worse than Yosemite Sam for goodness sakes. Sufferin Succotash!
