An excellent portrayal of those events.
It was one of the cheapest campaign rallies ever, in several respects.
I’d like to know who organized this fiasco last night. That hasn’t been discussed yet as far as I’ve heard. I’m betting the Univ. of Arizona had a major role, which is why their Asshat President treated the whole thing like a big pep rally and seemed to bask in his 15 minutes of fame. I actually think the raucous tone of the thing caught even Obama by surprise. What must people in other countries think when they see clips of a “memorial service” with T-shirts and boos when the AZ Governor speaks?
Sickening.
Democrats don't want an obvious visual of how many seats the Republicans gained.
I hope the GOP doesn't fall for the dems' tricks, and everything they suggest is a trick.
Barack Hussein Obama was the rock star last night complete with cheers, whistling, clapping and a souvenir T-shirt. The victims and their families deserved better. We all deserved better.
Okay Sports fans. What has every talking head on the boob tube been talking about since the final buzzer in the U of A arena last night?
BARRY'S SPEECH!
DemocRATS! We put the "fun" in funerals.
Wonder how long it’s going to be before those t-shirts end up on eBay.
I’ve never been so disgusted in my life.
This "wrongness" seemed to go beyond even the Middle School obsession so many seemed to have had with perception over the raw reality experienced for the victims and families.
I know I'm getting tired of mere grumbling about the obvious libel, spewing from the Legacy Media.
It's interesting to have been in a situation, through all this, that allowed me only to be able to watch Turner Classic Movies. I felt really blessed (not superior smugness or indifference) not to care a wit what people like Krugman had to say, for example, words that were clearly read, seen and talked about far more in conservative Internet circle than through the incredible shrinking original.
Now, Paul Terzian, writing for The Weekly Standard, hit on something better, though disturbing, than the "score one for Obama" columns some felt obliged to write in the past 24 hours.
In "Is this the President's Role?" he summarizes, in part, "Our expectations of presidents have clearly evolved...they fulfill a public role that is monarchical, not republican, in nature...an unaccustomed instinct for citizens of a republic. If we take satisfaction in a blessing from the President, whether to congratulate ourselves or to heal our wounds, we will expect White House absolutionbenediction, affirmation, succor, and curesas a matter of course."
