Ruh-Roh. This can’t end well… Krauthammer disagreed with Rush Limbaugh’s view of the Obama speech last night saying he has “a condescending view of much of America.”

Krauthammer disagreed with Rush’s assessment that the elites were slobbering all over the president’s speech last night.

"He has become increasingly boring."

Too much ivy growing up his leg.

Has become as reliable as Joe Flacco. Good game, bad game.

That wasn’t on the teleprompter and he just couldn’t discourage his fans from showing their appreciation for his wonderfulness. Gag!

You sound like a Steelers fan. We'll see this Saturday how "unreliable" he is.

"He is shallow, practiced, contrived, and exudes the attitude "It's all about me"."

WOW, what a great statement.

Whoever handles him, and I think it is that Jarret bit(h, I think they are big on target audiences. Last night was the youth vote that will vote next time.

I have been excoriated on another thread for saying this, so bear in mind that it is MHO, OK?

As far as Obama speeches go, I found this read to have been his best outing with the teleprompters yet. It was well written for him and designed to show his "heart." Of course, he is a reader, not an orator. He has no flexibility. No "touch," except to those who believer in him as a messiah of sorts. The man is false. Not authentic. But his handlers sure as hell know their business.

Obama Step 1: Energize the base. He did this by not-so-subtly attacking the right. Again, IMHO, it was not a Home run, but it sure as hell was at least a double!

Damn right it was shameful to do this at a funeral. But, he used it as the official kick-off of his campaign for re-election and it worked. Of course, we don't get it. It wasn't intended for us!

Do not underestimate the Mombasa Moonbeam. Team Obama is well managed. And I repeat, it is not managed for our benefit.

I have always like Charles Krauthammer but of late, I am questioning his views. He seems to be swinging back to the left..He has been sounding “establishment” these days.

"You sound like a Steelers fan."

Wow, did you pick up on that or what?

I am the original Steeler fan.
I go back to Bobby Layne to Buddy Dial.
Lived next to Forbes Field.
Gave them cooked sausage over a hot barrel when they came out the club house only if they won.

Hey, I love Baltimore. Look at the record. Even our lowly Pirates love you.

Anyway good luck.

Please add me to your ping list. You capture the most interesting articles. Secondly, does anyone else notice that our politics is falling back into the same states of CW1? Excluding the new faux states, of course.

I am thinking Brit Hume does too . He was positively giddy last night over the cheering..at first he said it would have seemed more likely to have been somewhat more solemn but it seemed more like a pep rally..and then he went on to say maybe that is what the people needed it to be.
My question then is why was it called a memorial? If it is a memorial it should have been about those who were killed. I would have mentioned in passing but not dewlling on the ones recovering but would have seen to it that of those who died, I would have had a man of the cloth from the faith of each of them participate, perhaps reading some scripture..but not making long speeches..something more dignified. But nope..we got the kick off to 0bama’s 2012 campaign theme with TOGETHER WE THRIVE ( KINDA HAS A SOCIALIST RING TO IT)

I think Krauthammer didn’t just have dinner at George Will’s house with Obama, but instead moved in with Tony LaRussa’s biggest fan and now they spend their nights pining for their dreamboat dinner guest to return.

"Ultimately, a civilized society must disarm its citizenry if it is to have a modicum of domestic tranquility of the kind enjoyed by sister democracies such as Canada and Britain. Given the frontier history and individualist ideology of the United States, however, this will not come easily. It certainly cannot be done radically. It will probably take one, maybe two generations. It might be 50 years before the United States gets to where Britain is today. Passing a law like the assault weapons ban is a symbolic - purely symbolic - move in that direction. Its only real justification is not to reduce crime but to desensitize the public to the regulation of weapons in preparation for their ultimate confiscation."
- Charles Krauthammer (from: 'Disarm the Citizenry', The Washington Post, Friday, April 5, 1996, page A19)

Do you need to know anything else about Krauthammer?
