My ears were perked when I heard it. Doesn’t surprise me that the media will run with it.

The Democrats don’t want the nation to see the extent of their minority status in the Congress. If the Republicans refuse their request the Democrat Party media will claim that the Republicans are “mean spirited”, uncooperative or uncivil. The socialist Democrats can get away with this behavior because they have all of the media on their side all of the time.

I post this from a Huff and Puff article - last statement:

“So I doubt that I will be there in January,” Alito said.

You say it like it is. I worked my butt off for a November win. They better be thankful and do our work.

We have a voice now. Perhaps the Republicans are so whipped from their so called 40 years out of power that they do not know our grassroots power.

POTUS attacked the Supreme Court last year. The Dem majority leaped to its feet. Don’t kid me.

Maybe, - I feel a little guilty saying it, but - the cry baby and tell him your analogy. Maybe, it will toughen him up a little.

Here's and idea. How about just stop responding to the applause pauses. Sit perfectly still and quiet and wait for the entire speech to finish.

Then applaud for 30 seconds and leave.

And the CIC (Cheerleader in Chief) can lead a happy, hand-holding and rousing sing along and shout-out:

I love you
You love me
We’re a happy family
With a great big hug
And a kiss from me to you
Won’t you say you love me to?
I love you

It’s the applause issue that concerns the Dems. If the audience is mixed together, Dems and Pubs, then it is harder to ascertain who claps for what policy statements that Obama makes. When all of the Pubs in unison sit on their hands to silently protest those parts of Obama’s SOTU speech that they fervently disagree with, it is very obvious to the audience watching them on TV. Otherwise, the cameras will show a mixed bag rather than a united front if the Dem/Pub Reps are all sitting together, thus watering down the effect.

With the Dems now down in numbers and having to jump up all of them together and clap for policies Obama speaks to that are terribly unpopular with the voting public, they stand out like a sore thumb. Lets see if our new Pub leadership are suckers who fall for this or have enough Tea Party types within their ranks now to stiffen their spines for them.

As the Pubs should now be controlling the seating arrangements, they should make sure that the Party that sits in the rows behind the SCOTUS members that show up at the SOTU speech are surrounded by Pubs, not the threatening Dems. Surround the SCOTUS with a protective shield.

They are trying to confuse people when they stand up an applaud some crap the president says...If they are scattered around it looks like most of the senators agree..screw their sneakiness...let it be seen what the democrats applaude...

This reminds me of one day in church... the preacher asked everyone to get up out of their “comfort zone” and change seats. Even went so far as to have the congregation change sides of the aisle. The next Sunday everyone was back in their normal seats.

In the past, the Republican establishment would fall for this nonsense. Let’s see what Boehner and McConnell do. What they should do is state the truth: DemonPass; manipulation of House and Senate Rules; extreme rhetoric (conservatives are Nazis); and extreme legislation.

My hope is the the Supremes will boycott the speech like they did Clinton’s last State of the Union...

Exactly....and we easily forget that God Himself always makes distinctions throughtout the Bible...among people..sin and righteousness...tribes...lands..and peoples....right and left!

This si nto a good thing they are attempting and the Republicans better not do this....if they do that will tell us they are no longer standing for the “right”.

RATs only want to get along when they lost.

We learned everything we need to know by watching Nasty Pelosi and Obummer..."We won, you lost. Deal with it."

Has anyone heard if Boehner is going to fall for this? I like the seating divided.

I read that members can sit as they please, so Boehner may only have some control over Repub House members.

Boehner has been the Repub whipping boy for awhile, and he seems to have a pair...so I don't think he wants to play.
