Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) will introduce legislation next week capping ammunition magazines at 10 bullets, she announced Thursday.
[Snip]
Since the tragedy, however, Republican leaders have aligned themselves squarely against gun reforms proposed even by members of their own party.
The 1994 assault-weapons ban included the same 10-bullet cap, but that law expired in 2004.
Like the assault-weapons ban, McCarthy's bill will ban high-capacity magazines manufactured after the law is enacted meaning it doesn't prohibit possession of those made beforehand.

Impeccable Libtard Logic: ... and we're gonna be able to tell exactly when one of them bullet holding things was made by the time we burden them gun makers with enough stupid but expensive regulations ... and that's gonna make guns more expensive and thus fewer of them's gonna get sold ... and that's gonna make us all less safe because of increased crime ... but at lease we're gonna have less guns.
Oh gawd! Are we back in the 50s now?
This one goes to 11.
She and her running dog lackeys want to make sure that can continue to happen in the future ~ that Republican judges will be murdered more readily (if in fact limiting magazine capacity has anything to do with that)
Dead on arrival...
Extremely appropriate post! Funny as it gets, yet series.
Are we supposed to know who those creepy-looking guys are?
The bill will be targeted for defeat.
If this passes Congress, a) I will never vote for another Republican in Congress ever again, and b) I will buy up full-capacity magazines like there is no tomorrow.
I’m willing to use a 10 bullet magazine if I can keep my health insurance and my light bulbs. Let’s make a deal.
So what good will that do.A well trained shooter can change through multiple magazines in seconds. So the perp could go and buy additional Magazines. So her bill would be worthless.
What if I pinky-swear to only load in ten rounds at a time?
***Like the assault-weapons ban, McCarthy’s bill will ban high-capacity magazines manufactured after the law is enacted ****
Sounds good to me! After all, no one ever gets killed with the first ten rounds in a magazine.
Sarc/off
Browning hi-power comes with a 15 round clip standard, doesn’t it?
This is the same reactionary logic that bans toner cartridges in carry on luggage. Lord, save us.
I was just thinking of when I carried a “six-shooter” how quickly I could reload using speed loaders. Popping a fresh mag in a weapon is even faster.
ridiculous laws authored by people who don’t have the faintest clue about weapons.
>What if I pinky-swear to only load in ten rounds at a time?<
that’s good enough for me!
