Rev. Franklin Graham denounces “outrageous” accusations hurled at Palin by the left and media

The smear job against Governor Sarah Palin is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Reverend Franklin Graham, one of the voices of reason in this whole situation, calls out the decrepit media for utilizing the tragedy of the shootings, to attack a political opponent.

There is no need to place blame whatsoever on political opinions nor politicians for a madman’s murder of innocent human beings.

Graham said:

“I have been shocked at the reports from those suggesting that former Governor Sarah Palin has some level of responsibility for the horrific shooting.

She was extremely helpful to Samaritan’s Purse in providing relief to remote villages throughout the state. Most recently, she and members of her family traveled with me to Haiti where we visited cholera clinics, temporary shelter communities, and participated in an Operation Christmas Child distribution.”

And the unwarranted attacks have increased death threats against her to unprecedented levels. Now who’s inciting violence?

Glad to hear more public figures speaking up.

Now is not the time to be shy. GOP.

The smear job against Governor Sarah Palin isn’t sticking. The crazy ones are in a snit more than normal because Obama is opening his run for the next term and Sarah scares the hell out of them because she will kick Obama’s a$$ if she opts to take him out of the run.

It’s ONLY dangerous for CONSERVATIVES to speak up. The shooter was influenced by LEFTIST GARBAGE. I’m sick of these leftists lying; in effect, wearing the red hat and yet pointing at the guy wearing no hat and snarling, “Look at him, he’s wearing a red hat”.

Unfortunately, Graham was not so willing to stand up for the first amendment when it came to the mosque issue. Only a few conservatives, including Andrew Napolitano and Ron Paul, have taken the proper stand on BOTH issues.

What is your issue, that Graham did or did not oppose the construction of the mosque?

I identify with Sarah. She is like a pioneer woman, she has the same priorities. Those God fearing women were the backbone of our country.
I am a military wife. I am proud of what I did to hold my family together. That is a hard life for the whole family.

Sarah is that kind of woman. She does not need the sick Hollywood life. She shows happiness in everything she does.
To see her face defending herself made my heart hurt.
What have the women that watch the view and all those sick people come too?
Those women have lost their natural affections. Those Christians that applaud that farce for a memorial by Obama have not the truth.
God open the eyes of our hearts that we may see truth.
May we discern the evil of today.

I hope the outrage toward the leftists that have attempted to place some sort of moral responsibility for the atrocity in Tuscon on conservatives generally and Sarah Palin, specifically, will continue. I'm very pleased to see responsible public figures call out these despicable attacks on those who disagree with left-wing politics and oppose their agenda, personified in President Barack Hussein Obama. The Democrats transparent attempts to (a) stifle criticism of Obama and his ruinous policies and, (b) characterize any public criticism of Obama and the left as akin to instigating murder is a striking example of the political lefts authoritarian inclinations. They cannot cogently defend their socialist policies so they attempt to smear those who disagree and oppose them. Recently, 'PC' has been the favored implement but now, an insincere plea for 'civility' in political discourse has become the latest tool used by the political left to silence and demean critics.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin, a wife and mother of 5, the Republican party's 2008 vice presidential candidate, former Alaska governor, small-town mayor and PTA leader who currently holds no office but has remained a public critic of the Obama administration's policies and the political shenanigans of the 111th congress is vilified almost 24/7 by the left, be it Democrat politicians, established liberal media critics or internet bloggers and assorted ranters. And in the wake of this kind of left-wing vituperation, our Democrat president piously urges 'civility'. Who does he think he's kidding? Not Sarah Palin and, one hopes, not many Americans that are paying attention.

My “issue” is protection of the first amendment and property rights for all Americans including the builders of that mosque and Sarah Palin. I criticized Graham at the time because he attacked those rights in that case. I have no patience for people on either the right and left who selectively defend those rights. How about you?

The off topic nitpicking.

If you believe defense of the first amendment and property rights for ALL Americans (regardless of whether they are conservatives or muslims) is "nitpicking" you are not a friend of the constitution.

I have issues with those of a religious/political cult whose goal is the eventual overthrow (violent or otherwise) of all non-Islamic cultures including those in particular based upon the Western or Judeo/Christian view of civilization. Islam makes no secret of their worldview and its demands which are absolutely incompatible with Western Civilization. It is an completely evil ideology which Churchill correctly identified as the greatest retrograde force in the world.

Kudos to Graham.

This is about support for Sarah Palin after all of the nonsense blasted at her by the left. Franklin Graham is on her side. Good for him. That is all. Thank you.

Here is the sad part. When Rev. Franklin makes a statement, the media, for all intent and purpose, either dismisses the statement or gives it little, if any press. When Rev. Sharpton or Jackson makes a statement, it is all over the national news on every channel. Sad state of affairs indeed.
