What a shock also we will now be told Obama was terrific, Palin horrific. As I posted on another thread, this article linked to in this post needs to be brought to the forefront.
Do you want an example of divisiveness and anti-American rhetoric? It's not from patriots like Sarah Palin but from a woman of Mexican heritage, a so-called "Latina":
It's safe to say there was a collective sigh of brown relief when the Tucson killer turned out to be a gringo.
Glad the killer was a GRINGO!
See the whole hate-filled screed from Daisy Hernandez at NPR (not surprisingly). Then compare the "Latina's" words to those of Sarah Palin.

On MSNBC this afternoon he said President Obama had to put on a "double barrel" effort at last night's memorial service in Arizona. Like this?

Poor you, we wouldn't want the lefties to dislike you now, would we? Screw you, NP. Apparently you didn't take the time to either read what I wrote, or to think about it.

LOL. This naive reporter actually thought Clyburn meant that all politicians should not use violent rhetoric, rather than just conservative politicians.
To: i88schwartz
Clyburn isn’t concerned about rhetoric. He wants his political opponents to shut up.

Apparently you didn't take the time to either read what I wrote, or to think about it. Well I read it and thought about it, but I agree with Navy, and I doubt you could screw him.

That’s “obvious to the casual observer”.

On the other, this playing gotcha has gotten tiresome, quick.
Understandable, but IMO, because of our short attention span society, this is exactly what we need to do, as tedious as it can be. On a related note, I'm so glad the Washington Wizards changed their name from the BULLETS, that put a huge dent in the crime rate in DC./s Now if only we could instill some shame into those who drive Dodge MAGNUMS or drink COLT 45, or do SHOTS of their favorite whiskies. We gotta get Coors to stop referring to their beer cans as the SILVER BULLET. As elRushbo says, demonstrate absurdity by being absurd.

Did Clyburn happen to mention who he voted for in the Dem Primary for US Senate? (Did he vote for Vic Rawl, or did he vote for ‘the black guy’?)

He responded "Absolutely not!" and then went on to claim that Loughner's eyes were the eyes of the people who threatened his life during the civil rights movement. Correct. He "bracketed" (propaganda tech term) Tea Partiers and Sarah Palin supporters with the Klan and 1950's segregationists and, by extension, people like Byron de la Beckwith (who shot Medgar Evers) and James Earl Ray (who shot MLK).
Dims in media did the same thing when they constantly showed Bob Dole on a podium with Newt Gingrich, after the media had done a 10-month hate campaign, a "campaign of personal destruction", against Gingrich and driven his negatives up (by circulating divorce/dying-woman-with-cancer stories that Newt didn't refute, or wasn't given air to refute).
Kill Newt, then hang him around Dole's neck -- and you've got the ideal opponent for a weak and repudiated President like Slick.
