BTW - I’m a great granny -

Seen a lot of ‘stuff’ go down over the years - but this regime is the scariest...I hear clicking heels of Jack Boots

I worry about my kids in all of this.
I have a sinking feeling of what is to come and it scares me to death.
I don’t want them to grow up in a world like that.

And, I like grannies. They usually like me too.
Many good stories told to an attentive ear.
It’s one of those history repeating itself thingies.

Did the TSA really pull her clothes off? I do believe, that even in the airport - grabbing your person is ‘Assault’. No charge of assult was made.

Now, I wasn’t there, and I don’t believe you were either. I spend a lot of time at airports, and aside from the occassional ‘random’ pat-down - no one has touched me. The pat-downs are an outside the clothes touch - never tugging at my clothes.

However, I have seen more than a few women who travel ‘to be seen’. For example, seeing a 20-something yr old woman wearing a tight fitting warm-up suit without a bra, shirt or anything else is commonplace (not that I’m complaining - mind you). Feel free to do a random sampling at MSP, LAX, SLC, DCA, BWI, ATL and even XNA - it’s common.

The fact is that this woman got dressed, knowing she was going to the airport. She knew she would go through security - and she chose her wardrobe accordingly. A bra has no more metal than my front zipper or the button on my jeans.

The statement that she wanted to avoid setting off a metal detector, due to the clasps on her bra is rubbish. If the sensor was THAT sensitive, people with fillings and anyone wearing pants with metal zippers would set things off. My wife is generously endowed - and has NEVER set the metal detector off wearing her bra, with jeans with metal buttons and rivets.

Did the TSA officer assault her and rip off her top? - unless you have video (and THERE WOULD BE VIDEO) of such an assault - please provide a source.

This does smack of a money-grab. If a man wore a paper suit, like one wears at the doctor’s office - and his privates were exposed during the exam - would he get a 5 figure settlement? If he wore it, and opted to go into the machine that blows air upward - wouldn’t you wonder if POSSIBLY

Again, if this was an assualt - throw the book at the TSA agent. But, that was not the charge, and that was not what the court found. Her boobs popped out, people laughed (human nature) and she was embarassed. Who’s fault is it that her boobs popped out? If someone ripped her blouse - then we have assault? If someone asked her to lift her arms, and one popped out .. then we have another matter entirely.

Did you read the story? Yes the TSA pulled her top down. The TSA even settled with her. The TSA is groping people EVERY SINGLE DAY! They grabbing crotches, breasts, genitals of little boys and old women as if they are a threat to America.

You weren’t there and I wasn’t there. Yet you feel empowered to start blaming the woman despite ANYTHING in the story.

And now you cannot admit you are wrong. Low life

Murley, he said, “was never interested in the money,” and would not have filed a lawsuit if TSA officials had simply sent her a letter of apology.

If someone pulled your clothes off, with malice - would you settle for a letter of apology? That is assault by the very definition of the word. Yet,that charge was never made.

Why bother with a court? Just hang every person with TSA on their shirt, right?

Do grow up, flaming people who ask questions makes me wonder if you have a clue of what you are talking about. If all you have, and apparently all you do have, is the ability to bravely type insults - that says far more about you, than it does me.

My question stands - people get dressed in the morning, knowing that they are going to the airport, and knowing they will be going through security. I opt to wear shoes that slip off, loose fitting jeans, no belt, and a shirt that will keep me warm on a plane that tends to be on the cool side. She opted to wear a top that apparently fit too tight, and no bra. My question remains, was this a money-grab?

You weren’t asking questions. You were attacking her.

What if it were your daughter or wife?

She should have filed charges. Have you ever tried to file a complaint against the TSA? Its exceedingly difficult.

Obviously, she did file charges - and she won. She had a lawyer, and I would assume he knows what happened, and what violations were made. No charge of assualt were made.

But, without any publically available pictures of what she was wearing when the 'assault' occurred, we simply don't know. I can imagine, but I don't know. I suspect that the Judge was able to subpena the Security footage of the event. I don't know that he did, but I'd suspect that this is the case.

Consider, if she's large, and wears a very tight, low-cut top; simply being asked to stand with her hands held straight in front of her, or above her head, could cause a boob to pop out. Embarassing? yup. Assault? No. Preventable? Yup. Who's fault? Well, she chose her top, she knew how it fit, she knew she'd go through security. Conversely, Security agents may have saw a well endowed woman in a very tight sweater, and deliberately asked her to perform the mentioned routine in the hopes of getting a boob flash. I won't discount human nature - but, again - who's was at fault? I'd think the judge placed some blame on her for her selection in dress; which is why the settlement wasn't much, much larger.

I fly a lot; TSA officials go through thousands of people every single day. They do not rip off people's clothing - they do what they are told to do, for some rate of pay and Gov't benefits. They do not get travel priviledges, like airline employees. They face scruitiny from every person who passes through security. It's a job I would not want.

There are cameras in Security, for the purpose of security. I suspect that the Judge knows exactly what she was wearing. plus everyone who carries a cell phone has a video camera immediately available. If a TSA were out of line, it would be on YouTube in an instant.

I have the YouTube link in my contacts list, so if I witness something - I can post it in seconds. This is done with the explict purpose of documenting any TSA agent stepping out of line. Thus far, I have not witnessed any action, aside from extremely professional behavior. If I see something, my iPhone will catch it, and within a minute of the event; it will begin uploading. By the time I get caught, questioned and ordered to hand my footage over - it will be on the internet. This is by design, with intent to publish - I don't trust TSA not to abuse their authority. So, I am no TSA fan - but I'm not an antagonist either.

My daughters and wife all dress conservatively. Sweater, blouse and bra are pretty much a staple. None of them would dream of going bra-less with a top that would expose their breasts. This is an airport, not a swimming pool.

With the atmosphere created by Jughead's administration, there is hostility that is being manufactured - and when you manufacture this atmosphere, you also manufacture people who will exploit it. I question whether this is the case here.

Sexual molestation is a crime; not a civil offense. If we had any justice remaining in this country, someone in TSA would be going to jail.
