White House operatives passed out t-shirts to the crowd with Obama's new campaign logo, 'Together We Thrive.' The words were also taped to the seats in which mourners would sit during the service.
Wonder what that was all about?
I don’t think it matters who passed out the shirts.
University, union, or Obama...it’s all the same.

Good catch. The look on Kelly’s face speaks volumes. I see resentment and barely controlled anger, along with the grief and anxiety he is bearing. It’s a lot of emotion for one man.

Our traditions have been falling and a memorial tribute is no exception now. Those college kids were never taught proper respect and for the marxist, he understands how to manipulate. I hope the families do find solace and hope they are able to have a proper tribute to their loved ones.
The girls father spoke the other day and it was really quite moving. Of course what he said made sense (this was the act of an insane person (paraphrasing) and was not politically motivated) so it’s no surprise to hear that they chose a much more proper venue to see their angel off.

Whoa! One doesn’t have to be an expert on body-language to be able to read Mark Kelly’s in these photos. He was NOT a happy camper about Obama being there. The last photo is very telling.
What an excellent ad for the repubs if they could capture that in the right ‘tone’.
The words ‘TOGETHER WE THRIVE’ on the screen as a camera pans empty factories, unemployment lines, food stamp users, complete with charts on the debt etc etc.... you get the idea.

I just caught that sequence on Fox a minute ago. I’d tuned in to what was supposed to be Red Eye and they were showing a replay of the “service”. I basically tuned it out but looked at the TV as it ended and saw the hugs and handshake.
The one earlier photo I commented on sure didn’t fit. Kelly’s hands were tightly clasped and his jaw was clenched so tight, it looked like his teeth would break.
Maybe it was just his emotional turmoil but the first set of photos seem to contradict this set, don’t they?
How do you know it was named after his next campaign is it really?

“Together We Conspire”
This speech was supposed to be the defining moment in Obama’s popularity comeback. This was Obama’s Oklahoma City Bombing Moment. The slogan “Together We Thrive” makes no sense at a Memorial Service. I would think that something like “Together We Mourn” would have been more apropos, but still a little tacky. The only explanation for the t shirts is that this was the kickoff to Obama’s 2012 campaign.

If someone I love had been a victim, I’d be asking.... Thrive? Really? I just lost someone I love more than life itself and I’m THRIVING?
