Big Government Exclusive: Alan Dershowitz Defends Sarah Palin’s Use of Term ‘Blood Libel’

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin’s use of the term “blood libel” from multiple detractors. As the Media Matters/MSM/Democrat narrative on the Tucson tragedy unravels, they are getting a lot more desperate in their attacks on Palin. Fortunately, there are still plenty of honest liberals around:

The term “blood libel” has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse. Although its historical origins were in theologically based false accusations against the Jews and the Jewish People, its current usage is far broader. I myself have used it to describe false accusations against the State of Israel by the Goldstone Report.

Not at all.

Just don’t need an elitist stamp of approval. But I already said that....

Not to tell her what to say, but just someone who can look things over and offer advice.

For example, all this media coverage of the blood libel phrase doesn’t do her any good. It only distracts from eveything else she had to say. The media will just focus on that and ignore everything else.

So, if she had someone who could look things over and say “good, but I’d probably change that blood libel phrase, it could be taken the wrong way, it has other meanings that the media will be sure to latch onto. Just use libel.”

Or someone who may have looked at that map and said “maybe using a different symbol would be better, the media and others will be sure to portray this in the worst possible light”.

That would have been fine with me, and probably better for her.

Every public figure has someone like that. People who go over things, who edit them, etc... Bush had tons of speechwriters and press scys. So does Obama.

Like you, I like that she’s authentic and doens’t have all these handlers, but having a press scy or pr person is perfectly normal.

Yeah let's require her to get a teleprompter programmer, that will keep the distraction in boring mode. Some people must really need crave the smoothing flow of deception.
