A Modest Proposal to End The Progressive Media Tuscon Hate Talk
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Jeff Dunetz

Posted on 01/12/2011 10:25:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

Note to Readers: In order to make sure this article will be read by progressives, I asked a friend of that persuasion to scrub the post below for objectionable terms so please excuse the “cross-outs”

Sometimes it’s very hard not to feel empathy for the progressive media; their arguments keep getting shot down rejected. While most Americans have been occupied with praying for the wounded or mourning for the loss of the dead respirationally challenged from that horrible Tuscon shooting perpetuated by the mentally imbalanced Jared Loughner, the progressives in the mainstream media have been occupying their time attacking placing blame on everyone and everything conservative.

Take NY Times columnist/MIT economist Paul Krugman for example. He wrote a piece that placed the blame directly on the right wrong side of the aisle, blaming the shooting on their choice of words:

..it’s the saturation of our political discourse — and especially our airwaves — with eliminationist rhetoric that lies behind the rising tide of violence.

Where’s that toxic rhetoric coming from? Let’s not make a false pretense of balance: it’s coming, overwhelmingly, from the right. It’s hard to imagine a Democratic member of Congress urging constituents to be “armed and dangerous” without being ostracized; but Representative Michele Bachmann, who did just that, is a rising star in the G.O.P.

The Nobel Prize winning economist couldn’t have really meant it because as TV’s Andy Levy pointed out, less than 14 months ago Krugman opined

A message to progressives: By all means, hang Senator Joe Lieberman in effigy.

Who gets to decide what is inflammatory rhetoric? Are there vcertain words that wouldn’t be allowed in public speech or on the airways? Who would monitor? Is there a committee that has to evaluate public speech before it goes public? What is “toned down” rhetoric? What are the penalties? If innuendo might conjure up a violent image in a persons head, would that be considered inflammatory?
I wish people would ask them these questions! It would be interesting to hear the answers don’t you think?

I hereby utter my last apology, accept my last condescending assertion that I "just don't get it," and feel my last scintilla of a whiff of a pang of guilt. From this day forward, when it comes to Race in America.......

I WON'T CARE....

Wherever there's a hypersenstive grievance hustler hearing codewords for racial invective where it doesn't exist...I WON'T CARE.

Wherever there's a professional offense-taker taking offense at a joke that he deems racially insensitive...I WON'T CARE.

Wherever there's a dimwitted government bureaucrat who doesn't understand that "niggardly" isn't a racial slur...I WON'T CARE.

I WON'T CARE when some Hollywood simpleton, unable to distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants, says those who oppose the latter must all be racists.

I WON'T CARE about cliche-mongering race-baiters discounting achievements by prattling about "white privilege" or "institutional racism."

And when the entire cadre of corrupt, conniving conmen whose livelihoods depend upon keeping minorities convinced of their perpetual victimhood have to get honest jobs for the first times in their wretched, useless lives? I WON'T CARE.

We’re using “Tuscon” in order to not offend the FB commie libs. That’s the way the commie libs spell it and if we correct them, they’ll accuse us of “bullying” them.

If this should turn into a serious discussion the first thing that will be suggested will be laws to sensor every word that we say, Internet, E mail, TY, radio. We do have political nut jobs that would to do this in the blink of the eye. Don't open that door.
