“Blood libel” is exactly correct, just like “death panels.”

"pundits should not manufacture a blood libel "
Interesting choice of words.

Sarah sure knows how to crystallize a position. Death panels, now blood libel. Impossible to ignore or refute.

Got into an argument with someone on FB about people successfully defending themselves with guns. HE doesn’t know of anyone who has done that, therefore it never happens. You could hear crickets chirp when I asked him, “So, just because YOU don’t know anyone who fought in World War One, that means World War I never happened?”

She knows this call to silence her and other conservatives intensifies the threat of a madman acting out against herself and her family, or other conservative spokesmen
as the democrats and the media intend
I am wondering if Rush Limbaugh will someday be forced to operate “Radio Free America” from a safe offshore bastion

Good for her. Liberals want to limit constitutional free speech, well why not open libel laws to protect public figures.
I wonder if Liberals are for that too.

Any doubt that same media would be having a celebration if someone killed Palin or Rush?

FWIW, my brother scoffs at the notion that guns have ever proven useful in matters of self-defense. He often says, "You never hear of anyone saying "Thank goodness I had my gun with me!' No, no. People with guns just shoot themselves or their kids. I don't know why anyone would own one."
I've shown him clippings of story after story of people protecting themselves and others, with proper use of firearms. It just doesn't register with him.

The first time I ever heard that phrase a number of years ago, I thought it was some sort of Klingon curse.

I agree its blood libel. Its just unusual for public people to use the word ‘libel’ unless they have plans to take some sort of legal action.

Got into an argument with someone on FB about people successfully defending themselves with guns. I got into an argument with my brother-in-law about the same thing. I told him most of the people in Texas are law-abiding gun owners. You never hear about a massacre there. You just can't reason with liberals. They are just stupid and cannot deal in facts.

I have defended myself with a firearm. Twice. Didn’t have to do much more than show that I was armed either time.,p>
