TUCSON — The police were sent to the home where Jared L. Loughner lived with his family on more than one occasion before the attack here on Saturday that left a congresswoman fighting for her life and six others dead, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on Tuesday.

A spokesman, Jason Ogan, said the details of the calls were being reviewed by legal counsel and would be released as soon as the review was complete. He said he did not know what the calls were about — they could possibly have been minor, even trivial matters — or whether they involved Jared Loughner or another member of the household.

Heard something about a DHS memo implying connections the mom had that could have gotten records erased/fixed. Anyone got the link/info?

I’ve read that he lived with his family, and then read and heard that he had his own place some distance from his family....which was it?

Considering his work history, where did this idiot get the bucks to purchase the weapons he used?

Starting to look like Pima County Sheriff “Dumbass” rant about it was “the Right winger” fault was more blowing a smoke screen to cover his own incompetence

Apparently also had at least 5 run-ins with campus police.

He has a history and the Sheriff still wants to absolve him.

I don't have a link, but read that his mother works for the county parks dept. in some high capacity.

He we getting police visits before Sarah or the Tea Party came to a national level.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik failed to protect the community.

Even the college saw this man as a threat.

AZ involuntary commitment laws would have aided to stop what the Community College saw and acted upon.

This is why Dipstik immediately went on the offense against Sarah Palin and the TEA Party after the murders. It’s called CYA. He needed to focus everyone’s attention somewhere else. A cheap liberal trick. The FBI will figure it out and Dipstik will be retiring.

I just heard that Zer0 called Dimwit and thanked him.

For what, I can’t imagine.

from the article. second page

She commuted about an hour each day to her job managing Agua Caliente Park, an area of spring-fed ponds surrounded by giant palm trees in the desert on the outskirts of Tucson. The impeccably maintained park was quiet Tuesday, but for the chirping of the dozens of species of birds that call it home and the occasional crunch of a birder’s hiking boots along the trails.

Donna DeHaan, a former board member of the nonprofit group that helps support the park, said Ms. Loughner was a reliable manager with a good background in environmental issues. Ms. DeHaan said she never spoke about her family but was always pleasant, if a tad quiet and shy.

Used G19 is about $400. Easy to put on a CC.

Even a new one isn’t much more.

I find some consolation that the MSM is even reporting this. I’m really surprised they are not white-washing all the evidence that Douche-nik and other leftist LEO’s in Tucson had prior to this mass-murder.

I’m hoping indictments are being prepared against Douche-nik as we Freep.

Well, I don't know what happened to my answer, that post only gave your question.

Considering his work history, where did this idiot get the bucks to purchase the weapons he used?

I have wondered that too, and if he had his own place where did he get the money to pay for that. But if he lived with his family, how did they not know how troubled he was (as they stated in their press release today)

Weapons. So far, his only weapon was a Glock G19 which you can buy at a pawn shop for around $275.00.
