Good Evening to the Canteen.
Experienced one of my favorite activities this afternoon... Had both our grandsons with us along with their moms. Picked up Logan (8) from school. He loves to come over and play with the neighborhood kids. Christian (14) came with his mom, our oldest daughter to drop off some stuff.
I had the good fortune to be their daytime caregiver from 6 weeks of age until they started school and beyond. I’m a truly lucky “Poppy”. They were all here when mrsdd came home from work so she got to share the experience. We are so blessed to have all three of our daughters living within 10 miles of the family homestead.
Salute to all our veterans and active duty personnel who stop by the canteen. A special salute also to the wives of our military folk ... they serve our country right alongside their mates. Mrsdd served alongside me waaaay back in the mid-sixties.
