Hey, is this an unverified report, and am I slandering a man without waiting on evidence and confirmation?
I learned that from the media.
This is the claim. We'll see if it's true.
Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County... Every victim of his threats previously must also be wondering if this tragedy could have been prevented if they had been more aggressive in pursuing charges against Mr. Loughner. Perhaps with a felony conviction he would never have been able to lawfully by the Glock 9mm Model 19 that he used to strike down the lives of six people and decimate 14 more..,,
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was aware of his violent nature and they failed to act appropriately. This tragedy leads right back to Sherriff Dupnik and all the spin in the world is not going to change that fact.
If the basic factual predicate there is true, the motivation and actions alleged make sense -- if you've dropped the ball, badly, and that's led to six murders and multiple grave injuries, damnit, you'd better start soliciting political allies and dreaming up faraway scapegoats.
Corrected: I got confused from the multiple retractions of how many had died and wrote "two." Six were killed, more gravely wounded, and more than that wounded.

That’s part of it. They also want to grab more control over people, as always.
By making us live with dangerous predators, these left-wing theorists believe we are made to experience the daily trevails of "people of color," citizens of other countries that are "exploited" by us, by multi-national corporations, etc.
In the good old days, certifiable whack jobs who could harm innocent people were locked up before that could happen. The sherrif dropped the ball and ought to be made to splain hisself.
I didn’t see the Fox interview, but apparently the Sheriff has already admitted there were previous death threats.
If they discouraged people from pressing charges, and preventing him from buying a gun, then a 9 year old girl is dead because of the Sheriff, not Palin:

The sheriff confirmed the generalty of previous death threats by the punk to Megyn Kelly in her interview yesterday, saying a lawyer would advise he not discuss those recent threats. ..around the 10 min mark in the You-Tube video.

Blame for the shooting, yes. However, there is also a matter of obstruction of justice, libel/slander and incompetence.

You sound like you live in Tucson. Nobody will know a thing here that “Red Star” and the local commie media outlets don't tell them. They love that hack Dupnik and nobody ever bemoans the politicization of this.
Even Fox news has been more horrible than usual, giving Democrats a free run and only running defensive gibberish from Republicans.
Dupnik should be impoverished and jailed for incompetence and neglect.

DannyTN, I’ve read on here at FR that Jerry Loughner’s friends claims that he deteriorated BIG TIME when he quit smoking pot & drinking alcohol -— and posters have claimed that many schizophrenics will self-medicate with such substances, and often become VERY mentally ill when they are withdrawn.
