Wife of White House Aide Found Dead in Burning Car
Politics Daily ^ | January 10, 2011 | Christopher Weber

Ashley Turton, wife of the Obama administration's House of Representatives liaison, Dan Turton, was found dead in a burning car Monday morning, Roll Call and other news outlets are reporting.

Fire officials said it appeared the car crashed as it was pulling in or out of the garage behind a rowhouse in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C., at about 5 a.m. Neighbors dialed 911 after spotting the fire.

The body was discovered after fire crews doused the blaze. The fire also charred part of the garage. Nobody in the house was injured, fire officials said.

Ashley Turton worked as a lobbyist for the utility giant Progress Energy, according to Politico. She was a former staffer for U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn.

Metropolitan Police Lt. Nicholas Breul told Roll Call a joint investigation is underway. Homicide detectives were called to the scene.

"This could be just a tragic freak accident," Breul said, adding there was no indication that there was a crime committed.

The White House had no immediate comment on the incident.

more from the politico story...see link at #212:

***********************************EXCERPT*****************************

Authorities have not determined the exact cause of the crash or why the car caught fire. Neighbors say Ashley Turton was heading to airport for an early flight.

“The leading theory is accidental [that] the car crashed through the garage doors and…was found on fire in the garage area,” Piringer said, adding that the incident is under joint investigation by the fire and police departments. “There were some unusual circumstances – just the way the car was, low-speed, significant fire, things like that….For the most part, the fire was confined to the area of origin.”

************************************************

This Politico story seems to have some inconsistencies....

Earlier they say a low speed chase....then later we have that she was leaving for the airport.....

Time to capture all reports since it sure looks like creative reporting is going on!

dMZ...she wasn’t able to finish the book cuz she was KILLED>

<><>><><><

Really? Can you document that? Link to a page?

None of the pages that reference Sarah or the book mention that, saying only this: “Author of “The Jihad at the Ballot Box” - a book examining Obama’s relationship with radical Islam”. When one is spoken of as the author of a book, isn’t it typically true that the book has been completed and likely published?

Please post any independent info you have on this, it would be appreciated.

"...For the most part, the fire was confined to the area of origin.”

I wonder if they mean like the area of the car directly underneath the driver's seat?

Putting a face to the name makes this so much sadder, especially with the smile on her face while holding the baby.

Putting on my tin foil....
“Found dead in burning car” seems different than “killed in the fire which resulted from the crash. [my words]” The latter seems more appropriate while the former implicates foul play (in my feeble brain).

"She could have done a lousy job of parking and rolled over a gasoline can causing it to rupture. "

Yeah, i usually set my gasoline cans right in the middle of my garage. Look at how vehicle is parked in the pictures. If she was that drunk, she wouldn't have gotten the BMW into the garage at all and woudn't have made it home.

Cause of death may not be the fire. Media may never reveal final details.

Dan Turton, Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs

Former employer: Timmons & Co.

Lobbying background: From 2003 to 2006, Turton worked at major D.C. lobbying firm Timmons & Co., where he lobbied for a long list of groups including Freddie Mac, Chrysler, Visa, American Medical Association, American Council of Life Insurers, Anheuser-Busch, Boeing, Chevron, the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Rifle Association, and Unocal Corp, according to who runs GOV and The Examiner.

Justification: Turton’s position does not fall under Obama’s anti-lobbyist executive order, according to the Sunlight Foundation.

Hmmmmm......perhaps he knew too much and he was the target.

BTTT for a great comment. Heck, I'll repeat it below:

Are you suggesting that “civil unrest” is around the corner, and such a possibility is not limited to a novel?

In a word, yes. As always, the question is qui bono - who benefits.

And the answer is - the left. Violence and retribution has ever and always been part of the Gramscian/communist meme: remember? Demoralization. Desstabilization. And 'normalization,' a polite euphemism for the gulag and the mass grave. The problem with this formula for totalist domination and subjugation of the American people is that many of us are awake to what this is and what it means for us and those we hold dear. Those who would rule us - killers without conscience - have been itching for an excuse to move it forward. This is their time, as they see it. And they will NOT let this opportunity go by without a fight. but their impatience and their blindness to who and what we are will be their undoing, I think. The alternative is monstrous to contemplate.
