When did military officers that have combat service ( and one, to my knowledge, highly decorated) become “kooks”?

( just wondering)

Fact: A **real** natural born American president would have had these military men ( and at least one military woman) over for a beer in the Rose Garden and personally presented **all** of the **best** evidence to them and made this evidence fully available for examination by all courts.

Personally...I think you owe our military an apology. They deserve to have a president who has been properly vetted. Since Obama can NOT present the very high standard of having U.S. citizens testify of his origins, he should do the next best thing. Obama should promptly release **all** of the **best** evidence proving his natural born citizenship.

But...I doubt that Obama will willing release anything. To do so would likely prove that he is a usurper and a criminal fraud who took MILLIONS of dollars from trusting Americans.

It does happen.

One has nothing to do with the other. One can be a fine military officer, have combat experience, and even be highly decorated and still subscribe to crazy, unfounded theories. Smedley Butler is a pretty famous example - a bona fide American hero, and also clearly a kook.

Fact: A **real** natural born American president would have had these military men ( and at least one military woman) over for a beer in the Rose Garden and personally presented **all** of the **best** evidence to them and made this evidence fully available for examination by all courts.

Maybe a very polite natural born American president would. I don't see why being a natural born citizen would make one more disposed to rewarding insubordination with a beer and a photo op.

Also, while we're on the subject, I am not certain whether it is the role of Congress, the courts, or both to determine the President's eligibility. I am certain that it is not the military's role.

Also, why would he submit any evidence to the courts, and why would the courts examine that evidence, if the issue of his eligibility has never gone to trial? The Constitution only grants federal courts the jurisdiction to hear cases and controversies between actual parties. They do not have the authority to just examine whatever evidence is handed to them.

Why do I owe the military an apology? Because I called a handful of military officers with wacky beliefs kooks? The vast majority of the military has nothing to do with this nonsense. Does that make them "Obots"?

And yes, the military does deserve a better Commander in Chief. That's why I didn't vote for Obama. Unfortunately, Obama won and he's the Commander in Chief they have. Hopefully, that will no longer be the case come January 20th, 2013.

And yes, having U.S. citizens testify to his origins is a very high standard. One you've completely made up and which has no basis in the law.

And finally, Obama has released perfectly adequate evidence proving his natural born citizenship, even though he is as yet under no legal obligation to do so. The document he released on the internet is, under the law of Hawaii, prima facie evidence of the fact of his birth in Hawaii. His birth in Hawaii makes him a natural born citizen under any legal standard likely to be applied in any American court.
