Shooter’s YouTube Page?
NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE - The Corner ^ | January 08, 2011 | Daniel Foster

Perhaps alleged shooter Jared Lee Loughner’s YouTube page, while it is up.

The videos are full of paranoid and nonsensical statements about government “brainwash” and “mind control”. A number are structured as syllogisms.

Some screenshots:

Loughner also had a MySpace page that has since been taken down. Fox News reports that the last writing on the page was “Goodbye, friends.” And among his favorite books, he listed both Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto. Other books listed To Kill A Mockingbird, The Wizard of Oz, Brave New World, Alice In Wonderland, Plato’s Republic, We The Living.

By early accounts, a deeply disturbed person with no discernable ideology.

Also, oddly enough, Gabrielle Giffords own YouTube page links to Laughtons.

Not sure what to make of that. She’s only linked to two people, the other of which is Congressman Ike Shelton. Perhaps he hacked her account beforehand, as a morbid joke? Seems a rather lucid move for a loon, though.

I’m really scratching my head over this one.

Among other lessons we can draw from this don't use words beyond the vocabulary you have mastered:

...to apprehend all of the current...

uhm...try "comprehend"?

...government is implying mind control...

uhm...try "applying"?

...I can't trust the government because of the ratifications.

uhm...try "ramifications"...not that this bit makes any sense anyway

...by controlling grammar

not sure what he meant...but how ironic can one get?

OK, I have read it through about five times, and finally am understanding something of where he is coming from politically. He is anti U.S. Constitution, and is a violent revolutionist. He rejects the validity of natural law, and accepts the idea that ethics are relative. In his case he seems to even reject a "social contract" version of ethics.

Very sloppy in his use of language, why can't crazy people learn to express themselves more clearly?
