LIVE THREAD - *SARAH PALIN'S ALASKA* 2 HOUR GRAND FINALE - "GOLD MINING" 8/7C TLC EARLIER START TIME
PALINTV/TLC ^ | JANUARY 9, 2011 | Sarah Palin/TLC

Posted on 01/09/2011 4:13:22 PM PST by onyx

Press here for preview *Gold Mining*

The price of gold today is at $1,368.90 an ounce, and during the 2-hour finale of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" you'll join us as we find gold.

When William Seward purchased the Alaska territory from Russia in 1867, he knew that our natural resources and strategic location would help secure the nation.

We show more of Alaska's potential in Sunday night's final episode at 8pm ET on TLC.

~ Sarah Palin

Sarah, her brother, Chuck, and their kids go to Nome hunting for gold. The plan: to find enough to make Sarah's mom an anniversary gift.

The following hour is a treat for all of us. If memory serves, (it was 2 weeks ago) I think the second hour is supposed to be "never before aired" *out-takes*....lol.

It was exceptionally cruel of that Kate person to tell her kids (who wanted to stay) that they were Palin’s now, and of course, they looked crushed and went with her.

Poor parenting at its most obvious.

LOL. They're very much alike. Piper loves her Mom and wants to be just like her and she *is*.

I love this photo of the two of them.

I'm going to miss Sarah's Alaska, too. In the past several weeks, we got to know Sarah and her family better, and we got to see a different side of her personality. I will miss this show, but I am excited at the prospect of what will be next for her.

Of course, I'd like to see her sue all those in the media who are implying Sarah is the cause of this murderous rampage in Arizona. Despite the lack of evidence for such an absurd claim, I haven't heard any strong defense from those politicians on our side, so it's pretty much up to her, talk radio, and the rest of us to shed light on the truth (which the liberals and their accomplices in the media are prone to twisting). They are too busy pointing the finger of blame on Sarah and the Tea Party instead of focusing on the facts of the case: why did this individual try to kill this woman and so many others? Was he strangely infatuated with her, or was there something else that prompted him to do what he did? They should be checking out these angles in the story rather than making up stories about Sarah and the Tea Party.

I've really enjoyed watching this show, the first one in the series I've seen. Amazing scenes from such a beautiful state and it is great to be able to get to know Sarah and her family by seeing them interact in real situations. Now, go for the gold!

I wish she could sue *all* of them, too. It would be a long list.

There’s quite a lot of details available on this malcontent shooter/mass murderer, and of course, he’s from *their side* so why not attack Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, talk radio etc., instead of accepting the blame where it belongs? And while they’re at, parade all the cretins with titles and agendas in front of the TV cameras, so they don’t have to report the details or information about the shooter/mass murderer. It’s so much more interesting to speculate and smear Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin is scheduled to be Greta’s guest tomorrow night and I hope she lets loose like only she can. Rush and Mark Levin will also be on the air tomorrow, so the lamestream’s free-run-rampage is about to conclude.

Prayers and Hugs, dear Victoria.
I am praying fr Sarah Palin and for all the good people on her side.
The others can go to Hell.

I love that picture of Jim with Sarah. Both their expressions are great.

Playing North to Alaska while I read the thread.

We’ll have to play that song when she accepts the nomination.

"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in praelio. Contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur. Tuque princeps militiae caelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen."

Amen!

I almost forgot about the early program! I missed the first 18 minutes of it. :-( I really enjoyed the 2nd hour with some of the footage that wasn't shown. The man who had her sign his chain saw and was going to put it up on the mantle; the baby named “Palin”; the radio jocks calling her on her cell phone asking about her plans to run for the presidency; etc. Also enjoyed hearing about some of the letters they received, like the one from a kid who said they should buy their meat at the grocery store WHERE IT'S MADE. HA!

"The show's DVD will be released on March 1 and it may be pre-ordered from outlets such as Amazon and TLC."

I have already pre-ordered from TLC a long time ago but I had to check out the Amazon offer.

Amazon release date is April 5 -- TLC is March 1.
Amazon is 2 discs @ 387 minutes
TLC is 3 disc @ 538 Minutes. The third disc is "The Discovery Alaska Collection". I don't know if the extra disc is worth the higher price but I love the ealier release date of SPA - 50 more days till I get to see the show! :)

God bless you and prayers for relief for your hubby’s painful knees. Alaska is truly our last frontier. I will never forget when my best friend in grade school left with her Mom, her granny and their truck/camper with “Alaska or Bust” painted on the back. What an adventure for them! (1960’s)
