Is it me? I decided to visit Daily Kos to see what kind of vitriol and what kind of spin they are putting on yesterday’s tragic events. I expected to see something slamming conservatives, or blaming Sarah Palin or George Bush somehow. Instead, their home page is devoid of any editorials about the entire incident. Could it be that they know that when the truth comes out, one of their readers - one of there own - will be behind the event, and so they are ducking for cover? Am I projecting too much, or are the beginning to realize that they are about to be exposed?

I don’t know what you are talking about — I never go to DK, but after your post I did and it is full of posts blaming Republicans.
“The attack was carried out by an assault-weapon wielding assassin of a currently unknown political stripe. In your heart, though, you know this gunman is from the right, whose messages he heard, and whose words his actions are a response to. The writing on the wall is now stained in blood.”
I gave my condolences, and we commiserated, and he updated me on her condition. He told me, “You detest what she stands for and votes for, but it isn't personal. I know that.”
There are sane liberals out there. Don't forget that. And our biggest way we row against the media onslaught is by being there for the reasonable people as they mourn. Eventually, knowing who we really are trumps who the media says we are.
