Federal authorities have arrested a Philadelphia man and charged him with threatening to kill House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and his family.
Norman Leboon will be charged with two federal counts: threatening to kill a member of Congress and interfering with his federal duties, and posting video online containing such threats. He is scheduled to appear in federal district court in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon.
The arrest is the most serious in a string of threats of violence against lawmakers in wake of the divisive health care vote. At least 10 Democrats along with a handful of Republicans, including Cantor, reported threats of violence during the past week.
At this time, the congressman will have no further comment on this threat or the investigation, and asks that inquiries be directed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cantor spokesman Brad Dayspring said. The congressman is deeply grateful for, and would like to dearly thank all local and federal law enforcement involved, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Attorneys Office[s] in Virginia and Philadelphia, U.S. Capitol Police and the Henrico Police Department in Virginia.
In a video posted on YouTube, Leboon said Cantor was a "liar, you're a Lucifer, you're a pig, a greedy [expletive] pig." He also seemed to refer to a bullet found in Cantors office last week and said it will be placed in his head. Richmond Police had originally discounted the bullet as a stray. It is unclear whether the FBI will expand the investigation into the Richmond bullet.
Leboon faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of both charges.
According to an FBI affidavit, the investigation moved swiftly. On March 26, the FBIs San Francisco office got a copy of a YouTube video in which Leboon allegedly made threats to kill Cantor and his cupcake evil wife.
Leboons video also makes reference to Cantors Judaism Cantor last week said he has received anti-Semitic threats in the past.
Remember Eric at our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given, according to a transcript of the video in the affidavit. Youre an abomination, you receive my bullets in your office, remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifers abomination.
Google, the owner of YouTube, provided the FBI with the IP address of the person who submitted the video and found it to be in Philadelphia.
Police had a warrant to arrest Leboon on separate charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Leboon was arrested March 27 and told the FBI that he used his cell phone video camera to make the video. He also admitted, according to the affidavit, that he had made more than 2,000 threatening videos.
He told the FBI, according to the affidavit, that he is the son of the god of Enoch and further said Cantor is pure evil and will be dead.
Leboon does not appear to be particularly politically active, but he does appear to have donated to President Barack Obama. On back-to-back days in June 2008, a man who called himself Norman Leboon Sr from Philadelphia gave $255 and $250 to Obama for America. The Democratic National Committee will donate $505 to charity if it was the same man that threatened Cantor. The DNC condemned the threats to Cantor and his family.
"We strongly condemn such threats and believe they should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," said Hari Sevugan, DNC spokesman.
Rep. Eric Cantor was one of the House members with a bullseye target placed on him by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
By the media's "logic", I wonder if Norman Leboon (the apparent Obama donor) was "inspired" by the bullseye target...
The DIM/LIB/moonbats are seething with anger aren’t they? They are like spoiled, entitled children who can’t get what they want. In their case what they want is legitimacy of their whacked ideas...ain’t gonna get it, fellas. Your ideas are sick...misguided at best.
I think most humans are able to figure out that “target” means that the member is “targeted” for political defeat. It’s not an incitement to kill. Or, it’s only an incitement to kill when a conservative does it.
What’s more insidious is to say that Sarah Palin put a cross-hairs on Gabby Gifford, which she did not. But the Left is going to say that over and over anyway. And few will call them on it.
I guess the guy who threatened Cantor was driven to it by the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and Rush Limbaugh.

“The DIM/LIB/moonbats are seething with anger arent they?”
It’s about all they have, really. They’re rarely ever positive or happy about anything- unless it’s about vindictiveness towards somebody in a petty way.
Can you tell me where you got the first two graphics, I’m saving the links to these things.
Yes, it may have been a committed leftist who threatened Eric Cantor, but coincidentally, it was only after the tuning mechnism on his radio broke and he lost his TV remote so he could not change channels that he listened to Rush Limbaugh and watched Glenn Beck on the very same day which caused him to issue those threats. Rush and Glenn, why they made him do it, it’s perfectly clear. Yeah, that’s the ticket. That’s why the likes of Rush and Glenn Beck must be silenced. Because they incite their listeners to violence just by mentioning Sarah Palin’s name. She hunts wolves from helicopters, after all, and wolves are natural creatures and rifles are guns, which makes them just like pistols, and the connection from wolves to people is way too obvious. So when you combine the level of passion of a Rush Limbaugh mentioning the aerial wolf-killer of Alaska, it’s only a hop, skip and a jump to blowing away a Congresswoman.
Where did you get the map? Is there a web site?
No problem:

I have been reading some posts by the moonbats today and you are correct; they are going nuts. Must be because the shooter has been tied correctly to the liberal/leftists.
The left and the media may find their strategy of trying to pin the Giffords shooting on political motivation (from the right, of course), rather than mental illness, backfiring on them, as the crazies on the left are used to using incendiary rhetoric and getting away with it. This arrest for the threats on Cantor may finally change all that.
You’ve been on this story Qbert and now it’s gotten some traction. Good job. :)
The maps seemed to be interactive ... click on a target and a politician comes up (in your example above McCotter)
Any idea what the original interactive map source is?
Thanks if anyone knows please post it to me as I am gathering up a couple dozen of examples of liberals doing the exact same thing they are accusing Palin/tea party/republican of doing.
I have to take a shower now...to much dirt coming off of reading moonbats’ postings. Dang, I could not comprehend most of what I was reading from them. And liberal/leftist actually think this should be blamed on Conservatives....(walking away shaking my head)
Thanks. :-)
good hunting to you...there are posts out there too...may you be very successful...
Can someone help me as to who incited the violence in Philly?????....../s
Yeah- good catch.
