And why did the sheriff presume to know why and how Judge Roll came to be at that event? How did he know what good friends Giffords and Roll were? The sheriff immediately presented the story that it was an accident that Roll was there, but his immediate claims didn’t withstand the scrutiny of the FBI.
Things don’t match up. Seems like the sheriff was very quick to paint a picture that he couldn’t have known but which he very much wanted everybody to believe.
