LOL. All things are about Bush I guess. He’s some kind of dark god to the left. At least they can blame the House now instead of having just the ghost of Bush and a minority in the Senate to blame for all the nation’s ills.
I hope she enjoyed her little (or should I say long) goodbye speech. She won’t be getting up on that dais again.
Did anyone catch Steny Hoyer turn around with a WTF look on his face when that one rat voted for him as Speaker? Hilarious. C-Span for some reason had the camera plastered on Nancy and her grandkids for an inordinate amount of time.
Bush is just a convenient whipping post and they’re stuck on it like a broken record, but this tactic did not work in Nov. People have short memories, esp. in politics. The buck stops with Obama now.
On another topic, did you read Brownstein’s column about “white flight”. If you didn’t, search FR - it was posted about 10 times - LOL.
Brownstein’s conclusions were that Obama’s ‘08 white voters abandoned him in ‘10 and most are unlikely to return. So in order to win in ‘12, Obama has to gin up his largest constituencies in ‘08 (young people, minorities and women) to make up the difference.
No rocket science there, but it begs a few questions, how is Obama going to gin up those constituencies without tacking hard to the left? And when he tacks hard to the left, won’t there be even more white flight? And are there enough of those Obama leaning people to make the difference in swing states he really needs like OH, NC and CO?-to name a few.
