Appearing on 'Anderson Cooper 360' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on CNN) rocker, hunter and outspoken Tea Party supporter Ted Nugent heaped praise upon Sarah Palin, but also said she hasn't yet convinced him she has what it takes to be president. "(Palin's) coming from the street, she's coming from the we-the-people rank-and-file, she makes sense when she talks, she says all the right things, she's sincere, she's knowledgeable , she's articulate, she's damn good-looking, plus she kills moose, how can you go wrong?" Nugent gushed. However, when Cooper pressed Nugent on whether Palin would make a good president, Nugent balked. "It's too early to tell. Right know, if we had a vote, I couldn't vote for Sarah Palin. And I love her. I love her madly, and I respect her." When somebody as naturally sympathetic to Palin as The Nuge doesn't believe he can vote for her, maybe it's time we stop talking about the former half-governor of Alaska as a viable presidential candidate.Ted Nugent 'Loves' Sarah Palin, But Wouldn't Vote for Her for President (VIDEO)
Like I said, I’m scared to death that a republican will not make it to the WH in 2012...because there are no viable conservative possibilities....and if there were, we’d all be infighting anyway.
I’ve seen it too many times before.
I like Ted, he’s one of us, but he won’t influence me vote.
Sarah Palin can be a wonderful spokesperson, pundit, cheerleader, and promoter for the conservative cause but she has been rendered just as likely to be elected as Dan Quayle. It's not fair,it's not right ,it just is.
I agree with all of the positive things that Uncle Ted said about Sarah.
I hope that our eventual GOP nominee is a staunch conservative who doesn’t have the built-in negatives that Sarah has.
That said, I will vote for Sarah in the primary if her opponents are either too liberal (e.g. Huck or Mittens) or can’t win the nomination.
I will vote for the GOP nominee in the general election.
Will someone explain just what it is that makes someone presidential material? Some say Palin doesn’t “have what it takes,” define this, please? What of the other anticipated presidential candidates, do they “have what it takes?

I am in Ted Nugent camp but only in the primaries. Against the Kenyan/Indonesian Muslim I will vote for any republican who gets nominated and that includes Palin.
I heard a person born in Iraq yesterday on Radio talk show and he has a $100,000 reward for any one who can prove that Obama is a Christian. According to him, there is no evidence Obama actually formally converted to Christianity. Obama was registered Muslim in school in Indonesia. He also said once a Muslim, always a Muslim. Converting out of Islam to any other religion is immediately eligible for a death fatwa.
Misleading headline.
So you dont like Sarah we get it. Why don’t you just post that and get to the point?
Adding to what you said, I have confidence in Palin. Something that is lacking in too many of her supporters. We’ll be far more successful in convincing others by our exuding confidence rather than the thin-skinned counter “attacks” of other supporters.
It is not disparaging her to say she is not ready to be President at this time.
The more they spot light Allan West the less I look at Palin. Still 2 years of this pre election BS to go. Romney, and Huckelberry??? = Obama 12’
No, not end of argument, Reagan was in the same boat, many fellow pubbies laughed at the idea he could become President, and even more so that he would be a good one.
This doesn’t mean Palin is as good as Reagan, it just means the premise of your argument is wrong.
>>I dont think so....no one that has been a consensus FReeper choice has ever made it to the convention floor.<<
Let’s draft JR!!!!
Me too. Key word: “unfortunately”.
That’s the way I feel; I lOVE her but...
That's a logically disconnected statement. The Nuge says he wants to scrutinize her more before coming to a conclusion. How does the author conclude from that that we should all just forget about her? That's dumb.
What is that I hear in the distance? Sounds like Ted Nugent CDs and Albums being smashed by angry Palin fans.
And who would that be? If you can name a conservative that currently has a greater than 50% chance, lets here about him/her.
