Jim and Carolyn McCullar Were 'Shaking' And 'Crying' When They Won

Jim McCullar kissed his wife, Carolyn, as he claimed his $190 million share of the Mega Millions lottery, part of the second-largest jackpot in the history of the U.S. lottery.

More Video Watch: Mega Millions Winner Comes Forward Watch: 2 Tickets Split Mega Millions Jackpot Watch: A Dollar and a Dream"I think $190 million is pretty good for this little, old Mississippi boy," Jim McCullar said. "People have been good to me all my life. It's called pay it forward."

MCuller, 68, and his wife live in Ephrata, Wash., a town of fewer than 7,000 people, where he works as a real estate agent.

McCullar is one of two people who picked the correct numbers to earn a share of a $380 million Mega Millions bonanza. The other winner, from Idaho, has not contacted lottery officials.

It was Carolyn McCullar's idea to buy two lottery tickets last Sunday while they were grocery shopping in Safeway.

Washington state will use the money it makes from the lottery towards higher education, Kinney said.

Yet one more lie in the story.

If Washington is like every other state that participates, it goes into the general fund, ostensibly to allocated to education. What they then do is replace already allocated money with the lottery money and call it a done deed.

I'm still happy for these folks, I listened to the audio and they sound sensible.

It was done for a fairly big one in Michigan a while back..

A group of Lawyers showed up to claim the ticket in the name of XYZ or whatever trust. Anonymity baby, got to love it.

Ok...I’ve read the story, followed every link in this thread and I still can’t figure out what this guy winning the lottery has to do with Glenn Beck. What am I missing?

They seem like nice folks. I hope the lottery winning doesn’t wreck them like it has other people.

this guy has been retired from Boeing for 20 yrs....that means he has already been on the gravy train since age 48....

why can't a working stiff for once win the big money?...you know...someone working in a factory, or on construction, with 4-5 kids?

In the news conference video, he tells the story of when he found out, before he switched channels, he was watching Glen Beck, and he noted he is a big Glen Beck fan, and actually asked the reporter (jokingly) if he was going to bleep that out...

I’m happy for them. Its nice to hear a good story for a change.

I agree and it seems from the story like they’re good, level headed people. He said people have been good to him his entire life, he’s setting up trusts for his kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids etc.

Smart couple and seem very average. That’s the type of person I like to see win.

I doubt the biggest winners could remain anonymous no matter what the law. Somehow it would get out.

I doubt the biggest winners could remain anonymous no matter what the law. Somehow it would get out.

Especially since winners are required to appear in person and sign their winning ticket at the Lotery Commission headquarters. No way to have an attorney just pick it up for you.

Did you watch the video- the interview?? The winner said he was up late and watching Glenn Beck..then hesitated and asked if they were going to bleep that out as ABC..then said he liked Glenn and listened to him a lot..so the quote in the article heading.."are you going to bleep this out?"..

We could assume he is a conservative thinker.
