An aide for Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann told the media yesterday that Bachmann is mulling a 2012 presidential bid and is headed to Iowa to talk about the possibility with activists. Bachmann is scheduled to headline a fundraiser for the Iowans for Tax Relief PAC on January 21st in Des Moines.
For the most part, the national media isnt taking the news seriously. LA Times politics columnist, Andrew Malcolm, blew off the idea by suggesting she is just raising her profile to in order to run for the U.S. Senate.
Another opinion writer, Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post, wrote, The Tea Party princess (Mama Grizzly is the Tea Party queen) must be off her rocker if she thinks shes presidential timber. He bases his opinion on Bachmanns performance on Hardball with Chris Matthews of all places.
Im sure these two paid thinkers got a kick out of blowing off the idea of Bachmann running for president. While their friends and cohorts surely slapped them on the back for a job well done, one thing is obvious, they dont know a damn thing about Iowa or the Iowa caucuses.

After the Halfrican, it will be 2-3 generations before a real black man, or woman, will be elected as POTUS...
...unless of course we are talking about ALLEN WEST!!!
As he might say, "I'd go through hell with a gas can" to vote for him!
YMMV is a net acronym for, Your Mileage May Vary.
LOL - yours obviously doesn't, but I suspect plenty of people disagree with us.
I am concerned, however, about what impact her work at the IRS might have on the voting public at large....

She spent five years as a federal tax litigation attorney, working on hundreds of civil and criminal cases. That experience solidified Bachmanns strong support for efforts to simplify the Tax Code and reduce tax burdens on family and small business budgets.
ANYONE who would not support that are too damn stupid to be voting...PERIOD! That is MY opinion and there is nothing humble about it! ;*)
You will not stand in the way of history. Even the power of the democrat mainstream media which is a trillion trillion times that of you democrats on this forum because of their pervasiveness will not stop the making of history: My Joan of Arc is here and her name is now Palin. Report to your democrat/marxist masters that you make no difference.
So what did Palin say? Yes Ma’am. I will do as you say?
Please, get serious.
I’m a male and Palin has movie star charm, even more so in person. She sure charmed me.
So what? But, she is charming. Sorry I mistook you for a lady. Sometimes people have done the same to me:)
I think having a strong male conservative candidate run for America would be preferable, given the looming war clouds on the horizon, but when I look out there, I don't see any strength, except in the females.
We pray that God will send us the leadership we don't deserve, and allow us to enact just laws to end the slaughter of the innocents.
He said he's going to interview her right after the current commercial.
I tuned him out lately. But if he helps push Bachmann into the race, I’ll send him a case of scotch....er, or a case of Mr. Pibb
I wonder if Bachmann/West could defeat BHO/Hillary OR Barry/Biden OR Hillary/???.
Yes. In fact, the only thing that will defeat the boy marxist is pure, articulate, and fearless conservatives. Those two qualify. Few others do. Of course, it is doubtful that even if Bachmann won the nomination, that she would take West as her running mate with only a year+ in COngress under his belt. THere are other excellent and equally conservative, yet more experienced, choices.
Thanks for keeping us up to date
Glenn Beck just urged MADAME PRESIDENT to be sure to put Allen West in Airforce 2 --- and Michele Bachmann told him that he had excellent taste, LOL
I don't think that the American public really cares who is on the VP ticket, ONLY when they 'adore' the VP-candidate do they notice, I think it's all about the Prez for most Americans, but I'm unsure how Michele Bachmann looks to normal run-of-the-mill ordinary Americans -- I only know that Chrissey Matthews particularly dislikes her and thus has given her extraordinary amounts of air time, which she has used masterfully, LOL
Don’ get me wrong. I would love to see West as a VP. But politics will push Bachmann to choose a more seasoned guy.
